Are these clickable from the inventory? Looking for a lower cost alternative to the gobbo ghazi ring for my enchanter :)
Thanks!

I'm guessing not, otherwise this would already be a thing instead of paying 7k for Gazughi ring.

It's an easy quest to do. Try it and let us know.

I've tried this on P1999, and it's scripted the same as old retail.
Can be clicked from inventory, but only by a Mage. You'll get the 'incorrect class' error on something else.

Any Slot/Can Equip means that only race/class combo that can equip it cast it from any slot

Not for this item, or at least, not back in 2013 when I tested it on a non-mage character. I got the red letter error message of incorrect class, or some jazz. At first I thought it was a bug and considered reporting it, and then I did some digging.
Elahan's post from 2003 in reply to someone asking if a non-mage could use it summed it up.

If something's changed on the server now that it's 2017, I'd sure love to know. I'd be happy to be wrong that it's still Mage only.

I doubt it has changed. But I have tomorrow off so I am going to give it a shot tomorrow and let everyone know.

I got 2/3 of the pieces tonight on my wiz. Gonna go to guk and get the third piece after work tomorrow and I'll report back here. I would have finished but had to run out.

It is mage only, this is what my post said. When Wiki says "Any slot/can equip" it means that only the race/class combo that can use the item can click it from any slot.
In other words, something like bracer of the hidden must be equipped to use (must be able to wear it and have it on), something like shield of immaculate can be clicked from any non-bag slot (doesnt matter if you can wear it nor where it is in your inventory), and CoS can be clicked from any slot IF you are a race/class combo that can ALSO equip it

I'm completely conversant with the any/any designation the item has in our P1999 wiki. There was no confusion on my part there involving it. The character I had on P1999 in early 2013 with the item was a Druid - I was attempting to use it from inventory as a ghetto clickie invis for animal charming. It failed me. I vendored the thing or I'd hop on and show the error message I was getting in a screenshot and post it.
Another item I had high hopes for in possibly working from the inventory was the Words of Darkness necro item. On old retail for a short amount of time that thing DID work in inventory for any class (much like the old Guise of the Deceiver) and it was quickly nerfed by Verant to read as class only for the click - which is what they applied to the Earthen Boots which was being referenced by the gentleman with the 2003 quote in the Allakhazam link that I tossed up above.
Edit - for those curious, the Words of Darkness does indeed only work for Necromancers on P1999 for the effect click. Getting the book of frost to drop in Perma was an absolute bitch. I did score a LOT of ore, FS weapons, Enchanter words, and 5 nets and some ivory necklaces before I did get it.

I checked, because I have a wizard and porting around and killing mobs is easy enough. They don't work as you said. I only checked because some of the Sol Ro quests work for other classes, like the reclaim energy clickie on the mage focus item...thought it was worth a try. I might try the clay bracelet, because if that works on my nec it would be pretty cool :)
But Earthen Boots are a dude for breaking charm. Guess I'll have to camp my gobbo ring.

I wish I had seen this thread sooner. I quested these on my enchanter but they definitely do not work for enchanters. I have them in the bank, though, holding onto a glimmer of hope that one day they might work....
