Treven Ru`Soe @ 52, -904, -38, Inside Adamant Armor in Neriak Commons is not there. This is the only evil race merchant ( that i know of ) that sells certain crucial blacksmithing Ore.

That's because some of the goods are not classic, sheet metal for instance was added later.

Bump. There's a vendor in North Freeport who does sell these ores, though. Been looking for ages on how to make them, but can't seem to find any way other way than by purchasing them from the vendor.

So apparently the only way my ogre will be moving to large fine plate is by having someone go to NFP to buy those for me. Which is nice, since they weight 15 stones, so I'd best run through commons butt naked so I can carry them. Inconvenient enough, plus I've then gotta make the run back to Oggok for the large molds. =p

I seriously ran through every hook and corner of Neriak Commons, and the vendor clearly isn't there. No one else sells them, either. Grobb and Oggok, the same.

I cannot find evidence supporting Treven Ru`Soe being available in classic. All the links go to 2003-04 pages.

Did some research and he is set to 0% in the db. This was a report from a beta tester suggesting that he is not classic.

I'd like to get some evil bricks going.. but I'm not sure this guy was there. Any other thoughts?

Hoi, I found a vendor who sells blocks of medium quality ore to darkies! Ukla in Rathe Mountains, she's on troll faction. Kinda missed her on EQtraders vendor list earlier, and ran into her camp accidently while roaming in Rathe Mnts.

Problem solved? It is kinda inconveniently positioned, tho. The ores weight 18.0 each, so you got a long run to forge and can't carry too many. =p

Who is the npc who sells them in free port and what store etc?

I just found out that Treven isn't there. That's what I get for relying too much on the Wiki, I guess. (Not trying to slam the Wiki; it's been immensely helpful otherwise.)

So where is a Dark Elf supposed to craft Fine Plate? Should I work on Highpass or Freeport faction?

I buy the ore from a merchant in north freeport, invis past everything go in store and it sells to you. You can even craft in that forge outside the store invis if you feel ballsy.

Thanks for the suggestion, but as a level 11 Shadowknight, that's going to be tricky. Highpass should work, though, right? What about Qeynos?

Level shouldn't matter as long as invis sticks. You have the same percentage of risk as I do to get caught. I know nothing about the other two locations sorry.
