Can you pull some off them?
Asked in private forums but no reply.

Yes you can. That was officially endorsed by the devs maybe 6 months ago

Just be careful you'll have social on the train and if they zone/die/DA it's coming for you.

according to the devs, iirc, you can pull off of them if they have 4 or more mobs.
But there AOE's now only hit 25 mobs, so they shouldnt really be pulling whole zones anymore.

Also, I thought GMs used to intervene if a bard took an entire area (not just for AoEing) because they were violating the "don't disrupt play for others" rule, or something like that? Did that stop?

When I use to PL they would just ask me to limit to 50 if enough petitioned. 25 is max now anyways so should be less of an issue.

The recent aggro range change imo is almost more of a nerf then the 25 mob limit from a few months ago. Pulling a large amount of mobs in an outdoor zone is a massive pain in the ass now as the mobs lose aggro if you go pretty much out of line of sight to them. where as before you just tag any mob you see and wait at your swarm spot and they'll eventually reach you.

It can still be more efficient time-wise for a bard to queue up 50-75 mobs in a single pull, even if only 25 can be hit by an aoe, just because gathering takes so much time and killing takes less. I know in OT on my bard I would still pull 50-75 mobs and aoe them down 25 at a time. It was more efficient.
As mentioned previously, the lazy aggro change was more of a nerf to this than the aoe nerf was, imo.

25 mob limit or not, swarming is still very much alive and kicking. you may have to repeat the same thing and take a bit longer to kill it all but in the end you get the same exp for easy PLs. I thought this was going to effect my swarm kiting for OT big time since huge zone and i pull all around from outpost, to SF ramp, to FM mountains, out to BW area and back, I pull with a chant naturally(by time they get back to camp they are full health but whatever) sometimes the lazy aggro effects a few of them, but ive noticed you can still drag mobs as far as you want whether you keep random damage on them, or they are within certain distance of you.
So PL 15-40 in OT in about 3 hours(to adjust for new 25 cap limit, avoiding sabretooths/rhinos, and hell levels still) then 40-55 in city of mist in a day, probably 55-60 in a day too if you spent all day, every repop without too many mess ups. otherwise you can still pop out a 40-60 that has 0 skill in anything and no spells gear easily this way.
but as far as the rules for tagging off a bard on blue i have zero clue, sorry for wasting your time reading my post.

If bard, exercise common sense. Don't be that bard who everyone remember as being a douche. Words will travel and your /anon won't stop anyone from typing /guildstatus. It is also baffling how many bards pull straight through you, making you inherit their fails in a very unpleasant manner.
That said, it goes both ways. Talk to the bard, tell them where you are, and be nice about it. Most of the time, it is an honest mistake and the bard is just out to get some EXP just like you. The problem is that everyone's had that "satan bard experience" where the player almost seem to take pride in the drama they're causing. Tend to stick with you.
TL;DR: Try to talk things out without assuming malicious intent straight off the bat. Surprising how reasonable people can be if you're reasonable in your approach.

Polite bards /who the zone first to see if anybody is in there so they can do their thing when nobody else is around.

Best thing ever was on red servers when you saw a bard you just sneak up ok them and root them after the had their swarm gathered

According to the rules you can pull any mob from anyone if they are kiting 5 or more.

There was a RMT or been-away-for-longtime bard in FV the other night swarming 50+. He died and was informed by folks via ooc that 25 is the limit now. He was not aware of that. *shrug*
That place must have been super hairy with the frog shamans in the mix (unless they were avoided, of course).
