Error 1017 (cannot login to the Everquest server?)

So the severs are up now and after I login in and select my server it just crahses to the login and once I login for the second time it states Error 1017: Cannot log into the Everquest server and that I may need to re-run my patch updates.

I haven't played in awhile (8 month-ish?) and I know I stopped playing because of an error beforehand (I think my character got deleted or something weird). Anyways, was wondering if anyone could help me out? Thanks!

So I read the FAQs about 1017s and followed the instructions. I updated my LAN drivers on my motherboard, disabled my firewall and restarted my comp. And it worked! But only just once....I was able to log in and play a character for a bit, but when I logged out to the character menu it crashed on me and I haven't been able to replicate my success since despite doing the exact same thing I did to get it to work initially. Please help!

Having similar issues. I'll get the error 1017, but after trying to log in a bunch of times I get on. I'm also having issues staying connected to the game while zoning. 4 times out of 5 I crash to log in while zoning or camping. Really annoying. Also haven't played in a while and just came back and running a fresh install.

Same error. Can log into red server but not blue server

Just started getting this as well, did a fresh install.

At this point i'd assume it's server side.

I got this Problem now too. Can log into every other Server, only blue wont let me. It turns me back to account menu, after entering pw again it says "Error 1017"

I played the last 2 Weeks every day, and today I got an Internet disconnect, and after reconnecting I got this error bullshit :-/ I tried to fresh install Titanium, I underclocked my CPU like its suggested in many other 1017 Posts, nothing worked yet. And its only p99 blue, all other servers work just fine :-(
