Left click mouse and rotating camera

I seem to remember being able to use the left click on the mouse to look around my character and when you let go, it snaps back behind the character. One of my friends says he is able to do it but I am currently unable. Is this normal?

Hit F9 a few times,..
One of the camera modes does that when you move your character it spins the camera back behind your character.
Or if you go into your keybinds you can bind keys for Re-center view, Pitch view up / down, Zoom view in / out, move view vertically up / down
(not in game at this moment so I cant 100% verify) Try pressing the Home key.

I think he meant left click to move camera. It was disabled because in classic while sitting you couldnt move the camera in first person. Hell, in order to even med you had your nose in the spellbook making you blind. A way to easily switch between these two camera modes is to bind title window to a key like z and move the window out of view.
