I've had this issue for a while but it's getting old.

I run really slow I cannot outrun any mobs without sow and I cannot outrun most mobs with sow. I cannot keep up with anyone for longer than about a few hundred units before I lose auto follow. I run really really slow.

I'm not encumbered, I'm not on walk mode, I have tried adjusting almost every setting including trying different frame rate max. I am running on one processor.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
This is making the game miserable at times because my travel time is practically doubled. Thanks a bunch guys!

Try changing your level of detail.

OK I will try that what is the theory behind it?

your location is determined by your client, not the server.

the theory is that you may be lagging which would cause the server to think you are slightly behind where you think you are.

i also had this problem , still do sometimes. my pc is a dinosaur using vista. think i bought this desktop in 07 with no upgrades. i found that my web browser would often lag me while playing p99. do you play with a browser open? if so try closing it and see if that helps. sometimes if i clear browser cache, close the browser, then reopen it things will be ok.

So it's being cause by video lag essentially?

Yes and no. It could be a number of things but that is why I said to lower your level of detail. It is the quickest way to see if you have a video problem.

Run EQ as an administrator and set it to run in compatibility mode (windows xp sp2 or sp3 should work)
