Ay!

I have a 6 hour flight next month. Any recommendations on 3ds games that i could easily burn 6 hours playing on a flight?

Smash bros will last me probably 30 mins.

I like fire emblem, but it is a little to kid-like for me.
O ya, and I really dont care about pokemon anymore

Halp!

persona q, bravely default, whatever that rereleased dragon quest is (7?)

theatrhythm is really good if you don't want RPG, but hard to justify spending money on. I hope you aren't paying for videogames. Liberation Maiden is REALLY fun but not a 6 hour deal. Overall the non-rpg library for the system is bad (control scheme sux for it.)

oh yeah, MGS3 on the DS is pretty fun. framerate problems etc etc but I liked it, it's the system I got whatever the big boss rank is called for that game on.

3ds arr matey is incredible. you can literally download the games from Nintendo servers directly and play them fully featured, online included. It's a fairly involved process getting it that way though, although it is all software, and requires firmware of a certain vintage.

A Link Between Worlds is probably the best handheld game I have ever played.

I'm sure there are video guides but just use this:
https://3ds.guide

you want arm9loaderhax, that's the skeleton key that makes the system unbrickable. there are tons of ghetto halfway hacks but arm9 is 2 dope.

if you have access to a secondary DS on earlier firmware there are wacky workarounds. I have broken a system on that firmware (I think. maybe it was 11.2) but it requires doing a system transfer from an already-hacked DS.

If you only have up to date dses available I think that means you're fucked. I advise not updating firmware from here on out, and in 6 months you can probably do it

flash carts for 3ds suck. im not an expert on them but i do know you're paying money for hardware with less functionality than arm9. also I believe certain updates to 3ds firmware have broken carts in the past, forcing ppl to await an update to the cart's firmware

anyone say that zelda game? its ok. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkAPQi9lwok)

3d mario is good. 3ds games are kinda cool, theyre more like ps1 era games than PC games of this erra, so there are a lot to chose from.

I've downloaded games from 3DSISO.

Not sure how to get it working on the actual 3DS, but have played using the emulator on a PC and set it up for my wife's mac.
