which bard instruments below 45

which ones are the most useful/cheapest?

for sake of argument....lets add a price range of 500-2k per item.

from what ive seen so far, drums and stringed seem most often used.

am still under 20 though, so have limited range of songs atmo!

Swarming would be brass, but if you're a grouping bard then string and drum for sure. Wind is by far the easiest to ignore, either way.

What do you currently have? Mistmoore Battle Drums, Lute of the Gypsy Princess, Conch Shell Horn?

Ok, well the drum and lute I listed are very nice starter instruments and common enough that they aren't expensive.
