I own blade runner, and after about 15 minutes of watching it, i couldnt take no more, it was too boring.
it was probably because i kept picturing the movie as star wars and him being Han Solo.

i collect movies as a hobby, older ones on VHS but not DVD.

My top list but in no particular order

1. Red Sonia
2. American Pop
3. American Beauty
3. The Great Escape
4. Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey
5. Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
6. The Lost Boys
7. Pulp Fiction
8. Inglorious Basterds
8. Saving private ryan
9. Mallrats
10. Who framed Roger Rabbit?
11. Biodome
12. Back to the Future
13. Clerks
14. Downfall
15. Band of Brothers

If anyone likes horror movies also check out The Curse from the 80's I think it might be based on an HP Lovecraft story. I got all 4 curse movies in diffrent formats vhs/laserdisc/dvd rip. I mostly watch older movies myself. Im a collector of the rare and obscure/cheezy flicks.

And yea....the "Evil Dead" series of course. Bruce Campbell FTW.

The Kevin Smith movie series (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy specifically - but they're all really good except Jersey Girl).

Watching Dennis Hopper explain to Christopher Walken how Sicilians were "spawned by ******s" is one of the greatest moments in cinematic history.

Jersey Girl was - and still is - ahead of its' time.

May I have one of those Chesterfields now?

I should have worded that differently perhaps. It's not a BAD movie by any means, but it's just not as good in my opinion as say, Chasing Amy.

That might be nostalgia though, as I grew up with the likes of Clerks and Chasing Amy. And pretty much all of Kevin Smith's movies have been ahead of their time (the serious ones at least.)

We have similar movie tastes Hasbin.

Lists are tough to compile. I always feel like I leave good stuff out. So small lists off the top of my head that I watched ad nauseum:

Anime:
Ghost in the Shell 1/2
Akira
Princess Mononoke
Vampire Hunter D
Fist of the North Star (must be dubbed! I'm usually a sub guy, of course, but the voice acting in this movie is so memorable, tons of quotable shit delivered gloriously)

Wow - very nice remastering! There are spoilers in these scenes, so avoid if you want to watch from the beginning:

Action:
John Woo's Hong Kong shit
Anything with Schwarz
Rambo series

Cross-genre stuff:
Blade Runner
Heat
2001: A Space Odyssey
The Big Lebowski (of course, right?)
Pulp Fiction

Comedy:
Super Troopers/Club Dread
Ferris Bueller
Used Cars
Dumb and Dumber

Guilty Pleasure:
The Mighty Ducks
Maximum Overdrive
Hard Target

I have the original series, the original movie, and the new 3d-cell movie (collectors edition), but I don't think it's one of the more accessible anime movies to a wider audience. It's tight as hell for anyone who likes anime tho.

Ehhh.. I just enjoy these directors.. A lot of other people might list Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg if they were after "top directors," but I prefer my list.

Oooh, also I forgot to post Guy Ritchie. Doh.
