Missing Level Up Particle Effects?

Hi. Coming back to P99 after a couple years. There used to be a level up particle effect that looks like this:

Not sure if this has been removed from P99, or if it is a display option in game, or if it requires a set UI, or a completely different graphics set. Any ideas about this one?

Particle Effects on DING didn't come into until I think PoP? Maybe Luclin, but I don't think so..
