Kittens Who Say Meow is a guild on the Project 1999 Blue server where members of all levels engage in cooperation with each other for the betterment of themselves and the guild as a whole.

Kittens do casual raids, mainly raiding the Planes (Plane of Fear and Hate), Kael and other zones, and are on our way to taking on the bigger challenges such as Temple of Veeshan. We also have events for our younger crowd as well, which include giveaways and lower level dungeon crawls. While grouping and raiding together is encouraged, members are never obligated to participate and are not penalized for any lack of participation in guild events.

As of this posting we currently raid Friday nights around 9pm EST / 8pm CST and Sunday afternoons around 6pm EST / 5pm CST, allowing members to group, level up and quest on our off days. For communication during raids we do require the use of Discord app to listen to raid instructions and encourage all members to join Discord for fun and friendly chat at anytime. Currently we are recruiting levels 15 and higher, though we will always make exceptions for real life friends and family that also want to play.

Kittens do other events besides raiding and the beginning of April marked another one of our great giveaways. Three kittens who could run from the gates of West Freeport to the gates of North Qeynos first WITHOUT ANY speed modification spells or effects would win some new boots! The call went out for the Kittens to assemble. Our greatest foe had been sighted and it was laying waste to the sparsely populated ocean of Timorous Deep. We realized that now was the time to prove ourselves to the server. So we strapped on our bronze and banded. The guild bank loaned Droar (our beefiest warrior) our guild's most prized weapon. We all felt reassured with Droar hefting the Crystalline Short Sword. As we gathered on the beach in TD, I looked around and felt a surge of pride. A hundred of my fellow kittens had gathered for the kill.

Purpyl and I put away our matching Sionachie's Partisans and Rusty Bastard Swords, equipped the drums we'd purchased from the North Freeport Bard's guild and ran off to locate Faydedar.

Purpyl and I tracked it for several minutes until I ran right into it. In no time, it was upon me. I was lucky to escape from it with just a single tear in my leather tunic. I started running back to meet the Kittens but even with my trusty North Freeport hand drum, it was hard to stay out of reach of it. It was about to get me when Purpyl caught up! She got his attention by singing the level 12 direct damage song at him. She would have sung a higher level one but she couldn't afford to buy it. It didn't matter. It got her attention and started chasing her!

Purpyl and I had it chase us in the direction of the Kittens. It was quite a relief when we saw the sea of bronze plate and banded armors glinting on the horizon. The clerics in their leathers healed Purpyl and I as we entered the camp. Purpyl and I had mere seconds to equip our weapons because Faydedar was upon us.

People were feared and running everywhere. It was pandelerium! Groups were reporting in... "This person was down". And "That person was down". There was sobbing in Discord!

Some people were still able to attack but most were running around in a stampede of insanity.

Faydedar's hitpoints were dropping but it seemed like our raiders were dropping even faster! Our original raid force of 100 was quickly down to 80 then 70 and then in the blink of an eye we were down to 20. I remember yelling into Discord, "Die damn you!!!" And then I realized my microphone was turned off. Gah! Foiled at every turn!

And then I was dead and all I could do was listen with baited breath hoping beyond hope that we could finish him off. Droar yelled out that it was just he and Kasani the Druid left.

I couldn't listen any longer. I took off my headset. I covered my head with a pillow. I started screaming the lyrics to "Kiss By A Rose" at the top of my lungs! I cried heavy, salty tears for the disaster that had befallen my fellow Kittens and I.

After several minutes, I pulled myself together and put my headset back on. People were cheering! We had won! We had pulled it off! 98 members of our 100 member raid force had died but we killed the bastard!

The pride we all felt as we ran from East Freeport to the dock in the Oasis, I will never forget! The feelings of solidarity I felt with the 97 Kittens sitting next to me on the raft as we floated out to TD to loot our corpses was almost tangible. You could feel the love!

Next order of business... This guild needs some Rez sticks!

Vox Force 5 has slayed a dragon! This project has been in motion so long I can't remember when we started working on it. Regardless, this couldn't have been accomplished without all of Purpyl's hard work. Congratulations on that shiny new white scale!!!

I was panting heavily when I returned to the border between Trakanon's Teeth and the Emerald Jungle. You would think that a bard could run forever without getting weary but although we run very quickly, we do eventually tire out. Especially when being chased by the ghostly apparition of an Iksar.

I stumbled into camp and saw my trusty guildmates Grimbeard the rogue, Keltoth the ranger, and Vanhealen the cleric. I almost collapsed but within seconds I was revitalized and my wounds were closed. Van was paying attention. I had just enough time to swap out my drum for my weapons and throw Van a thankful salute when the mobs were upon us.

Good Lord! It wasn't just any ghostly Iksar! It was Harbinger Dronik! And he had brought friends! Two frogloks had rallied to his aid.

Keltoth summoned the spirits of the land to root one of the frogloks to the ground while I attempted the impossible. You see... I have been told that I have a very charming personality so I caught Harbinger Dronik's glaring eye, put on my most dashing smile, winked at him in a very Sarah Palin kind of way, and sang my most charming song.

Musical notes cascaded from my Singing Short Sword and it began to glow. Harbinger Dronik felt the power of epic and song combined and all of a sudden his demeanor changed. He lowered his arms and looked at me in an almost paternal manner.

How flattering!

"Attack!" I shouted at him. He immediately roared and attacked the froglok that Keltoth had been tanking. With Harbinger Dronik's help, we summarily dispatched that froglok. I re-charmed Harbinger Dronik and we launched into the froglok that Keltoth had rooted. We made short work of him, as well.

There we stood...the three of us (Bard, ranger, and cleric) surrounded by corpses on the field of battle facing Harbinger Dronik. We confirmed we were ready and then I released my hold on the Iksar ghost's mind.

He attacked me with a fury. I desperately sang a song to slow him. It landed and Harbinger Dronik's blows continued to rain painfully down on me but now less frequently. He was the hand trying to take away our ball of yarn. Our meows became roars as we attacked him with the might of raging Kittens!

Realizing his demise was imminent, he turned to flee only to find his feet snared by music.

He died. We looted him and found something astonishing. He'd never been an Iksar in the first place! He just had a mask that made him appear that way. After some discussion and whining on my part (I'm a Kitten, after all), it was decided that I would keep the mask.

I had always wanted to meet the Iksar in person so I ran as quickly as I could to Cabilis. I clicked my mask as I approached it. The Iksar greeted me as an ally. As I strolled the streets of that ancient city, an attractive Iksar female approached me. It was difficult to tell whether she was wearing makeup or whether the colors on her face were the natural markings of an Iksar female.

I guess I made an attractive Iksar because she invited me to join her at a nearby tavern. We drank and laughed (more like hissed). Things started to get romantic between us quickly. We stumbled up the stairs and and we had a hot night of cold-blooded love.

In the morning, I awoke to find her gone. I left the city quickly, fearful that the effects of the mask could wear off at any time.

I had intended for this to be the end of the story however I stopped by the Freeport Post Office today to check my mail after several months spent adventuring. In my box was an unmarked letter with a Cabilis postmark. Curious... I used my epic to slice open the envelope. Son of a...!!! Apparently I now have two dozen children in Cabilis and the courts have ruled in her favor for child support.

I'm going to be the poorest epic bard in Norrath!

How do I make screenshots like this? Well, when monks pull in HoT, when they don't find any racnars to pull, they might find rancars, and sometimes racecars instead! I just snap some screenshots of what's happening, no Photoshopping at all! ;)

Kitties had a busy couple of days with epic fights, dragons and even the God of Hate.
Congrats to 2 of our druids with new leaf blowers from a couple of recent watery dragon fights.

I just lighten up everything using Photoshop. Of course being wood elf helps see in EQ in the first place. :)
