If you are a new player and looking for some help please feel free to send Pentacle a tell. I pretty much only hang out in the EC tunnel. I often have a few platinum coins or a few pieces of gear that will help get you started in Norrath. The only condition I place on this help is that you post on this thread, so other new people have an easier time finding it. I did this about a year back and had a great response. So come see me in the tunnel! I'll be across from Torch 1!

Actually i am a newbie but i know EQ very well... sadly i can't get past level 4 on Project 99 yet ... i tryed alot of different classes, i decided to give it 1 more shot as a Iksar Necro maybe i am lucky with the Iksar Newbie Area and maybe some FreeBuffers are around that area :(

A story from last night...
In real life I'm a painting contractor and student. There is always a rush right before the holidays to get jobs done so people can move or have their place be nice for the holiday. Yesterday I worked a 15 hr day and came home to relax on P99 and hang out in the tunnel as I do. I did my normal thing where I OOC about new players and seeing if anyone needed help. Got a few tells from this guy and I hook him and his brother up with some money and his brother's warrior with some gloves and some money. Anyway, like 5 minutes later I get a tell from the one guy telling me how much it meant to him because he and his brother didn't have a lot of money IRL for Christmas gifts but were spending time in Norrath together as a way to celebrate Christmas. I know it seems strange, but this along with a myriad of other reasons are why I try and help others. Kindness and hope are often free. Please remember during the holidays and throughout the year to be kind to one another.

Pentacle is a cool dude, he helped me out a year or two ago when I was a little short for something I wanted to buy, he not only chipped in but helped me transfer it as well. I returned to P99 after two years or so since nostalgia kicked in. He was able to help out my 21 ranger in EC. Just gotta pay it forward and it takes me back to the good ol days of the Everquest community I joined in 2000!

A few people have graciously offered some starter gear and that is always nice for people. I also want to give props to the druid Supahans who often makes the bags I hand out to people and often helps with handing them out (space issues!). I play Everquest to pass the time and have fun. If you want to chat or just get to know someone who played from Classic-Omens of War I like talking shop.

Really great trustworthy guy. Guild was busy with a raid and no one else I knew was on, so I didn't have anyone I knew to transfer a buttload of stuff to an alt of mine. Luckily, I saw Pentacle posting in the EC tunnel and asked if he wouldn't mind. He graciously transferred over two bags worth of things to my enchanter without asking for anything in return. Thx. So Much Sir Pentacle. L3 Bard Starving Artist ran across this post and thought , what the heck, guy seems to want to help, and Boy was I right. It was only 3 pieces of Banded and 50pp, but to a L3 wearing whatever happened to drop it was priceless, going to my guildmaster now, via a BP vendor, will have all the bags I need and should be able to buy 6-8 songs. From now on if I ever get an item too good to destroy that you might be able to pass on to a poor toon it is yours sir..
