Gunok Moltor not spawning

I have sat at this mobs spawn point for about 4 hours now today off and on. I have killed a plethora of PH spawns but haven't seen Gynok once. Does this guy even spawn anymore? 4hrs, 12+PH kills, not one Gynok appearance.

id say so, yeesh. Between my friend and I, we put in about 9+ hrs today on him and saw him twice.

Just a thought...

so lets say 9 hrs, 540 mins
"Assuming" the PH/Gynok dies immediately upon spawning that's about 34 pops with his 16 min respawn timer

during those 9 hours we weren't always starring at the wall so lets assume he popped 1 more time in which we didn't see him, totaling 3 pops

that puts his chance to pop at about 8.8% plus or minus some error during that time interval. That is of course a really small sample but yea low low chance to spawn. That also assumes there is not some other variable which isnt exposed like "Gynok will only pop once every 4 hours" or something strange like that...

I wish i new how to code C+ so I could make a percentile function to see if that percentage was close.

...Earning those lumps, anyways back to starring at a wall!

I killed Gynok some month ago, he's rare as hell, and the RNG is evil, not a spawn on 34 PH can happen even on just uncommon mob... have you already tested the RNG by doing tradeskill? streak of failures are common... 34 samples is too low for EQ RNG to reveal anything worthwhile...

I camped him around 14 hours over the course of 2 days when I started here to only have him spawn with a COPPER ring lol
