Do you have to post a certain number of messages before you can select an avatar? Nothing in the FAQ addresses this issue, and when I go to edit my profile, I am not allowed to select an avatar.

Yes, you have to be approved as a user. They refer to it as the "waiting on the porch" period.

The fact that I can see your thread here leads me to believe you will now be able to put up whatever pollution you intend to be your avatar here on p99 forum.

In unrelated related news - I have tried to make a couple of alt account only to be banned by Braknar without cause. These are not troll accounts, i just want to change my user name. There seems to be no rhyme or reason with what goes on here - Braknar operates with impunity and then complains he is a volunteer.
