'4242' is the story of a young female immigrant, a story of a teenager's anguish who is trying to redefine her identity after being forced to leave home.

So my guess what comes after is abortion. 9 months into pregnancy. Hill dog will be there to rip the child from the womb. Then she will suck the soul's energy from the tiny defenseless child's corpse.

Interesting ^^ Not sure if you made a mistake or are onto something else. Not what I found next, but close enough to acknowledge since there may be more to it than I've found ^^

Check your work, folks. we don't want her failing, getting some shit paying job, and then pretending a wage gap exists.

The most obvious answer based on zero context and minimizing the complexity of the patterns? It depends on what you mean by "next".

*oh wtf baler lmao - maybe change "||" to "&&" and then add a ";" ... ?

If it turns out to be -2638 you win.
In regards to || I was just using it in place of Or. such as the or operator used in C#, C && || C++.

Hmm, well, I don't know to be honest ^^ None of the answers so far have been next in the sequence though ^^

lol, no not homework, it is just a puzzle I was playing with. And I am perfectly happy with my pay :p

No, but good guess. I've not actually been able to identify a pattern to the sequence at this level, which is why I brought it here ^^. I have found one by manipulating the sets, but been unable to really make any use of it.

I don't know but this is really getting under my skin. I like math and I can't solve this with the limited information provided.

-1492 (which is wrong)

I can't figure out how the numbers of "what comes next" went from:
11122
4242
to
46
26

i learnt in school that the masculine form is the default. when i use male pronouns it is because i am not assuming gender. i actually refer to most women using masculine words in real life, it has always felt very natural to me (I consider this true "feminism", really humanism -- presuming all sentient entities equivalent in character as a default).

Of course Melon is a 14 year old Japanese girl in real life though. i would never dispute the facts.

Same here actually. I always use masculine pronouns and nouns. Ill say like "bye guys" etc. to 2 women on my way out of the bar.

Any group of women and men, automatically refer to them all as male too. But I do it with women in groups too. Group of women will be offhandedly referred to as "guys" during convo such as "yeah I bet you guys like that." etc.

I consider this to have fringe benefits as what is known as a "false-disqualifier" when running game. So whether its casual convo, polite convo, or gaming for pickups, its going to stay in my vocabulary.

Never met a woman strong enough to protest it, or take issue with it per se.

Would be interested to hear more about what a false-disqualifier is, Mr. Doggzone.

I've never had a woman get bothered when I referred to her as he myself. The only corrections come when you refer to a female not-present as a he and people insecure in the equality of women have to specify it's actually a "she" to remind me women can do things too.

false disqualifier is the same thing as a neg basically. its meant to generate interest by rejecting them as a potential mate while valuing yourself in the same sentence.

This made reading D&D manuals awkward at first. Player characters are always referred to as 'she'.

But you people already knew that

hmmm.... I just missed the 2 then. That 2 doesn't seem logical, and the 6 in the wrong place :)
Maybe that's why I almost came up with 666.... >.>
But I saw a descending pattern, but not to a two digit number.
Anyway, next maybe 12.
...or 5150 :D
for you scanner hounds hehe
don't hurt yourself with that! ;)

That's just really weird lol. I use man/he/his as generics all the time when just referring to a generic person, because that is what it is: generic. Guys don't get special pronouns. They don't even get their own noun. Can't say I've ever met anyone so generous its application as J though. But then, he is a very special flower ^^

Like I said, I've not been able to find a pattern to it, which is why I brought it here ^^ Hoping we can figure something out ^^ Or just find another way of looking at it. I'll give another hint :3 These sets are derived from another set that we are all familiar with ^^

I actually included an error too thinking it might make the answer less elusive ^^ If I remove it, the numbers are:

122
4242

so... my brain went down a worm-hole to try to figure some kind of something out but i quickly gave up... here's this instead...

------------
step out of your comfort zone and focus on highest expectations...release your fears and use positive affirmations...

there are others watching to make sure you succeed and will help if asked...

let go of your worries of the material world that sap your focus... with hard work, consideration, and determination all your needs will be met...

reminder your earthly needs will be met... allow inner rumblings to cause positive actions in your life... reap the spiritual and emotional rewards of love, trust and companionship as well as manifest material and financial rewards.

as for what's next idk... probably 8... *but then again... it's probably just my surge-protector about to catch fire...

melon I hope you get the references, I was sober when I posted that... I think it is the most complete answer so far... although any combination of 8's could be a possible answer...

8 || 88 || 888 || 8888 etc... the last 5 lines of above post == 122, 4242, 46, 26, x

possible I misunderstand and those 4 numbers are all there is.
