Just gave fishing grubs to Lucky the Beggar in HighKeep. Killed him and his corpse was empty of all loot or coin.

Correct me if I'm wrong but in classic EQ, you're supposed to be able to loot your grubs from the corpse there.

Thanks.

You are, the problem is how it's coded.

It wasn't until this bug post when mobs began to drop items they were given at all. The only problem is they will only drop those items if they are handed to the mob while charmed. Also if the mob you charmed handles any quest turn ins they will not drop any items handed to them even if charmed, as a concern for duping items by charming, completing quest and then killing to collect the turn in items were raised.

So yea you're correct but

Well yeah but I dunno, it's SO classic to be able to put junk on mobs. I know some of the devs are particularly fond of classicness.

Maybe they could look into it at some point and.. dunno, make it so that if the NPC gives out any item (as a quest turn-in result), their temporary loot table is cleared, or something like that.

I'm by no means an expert at EQEmu code but our devs are pretty much godlike as far as coding is concerned, aren't they?
