Black Dire

Hi,

Has anyone been able to solo Black Dire (http://wiki.project1999.com/Black_Dire) ?

Couldn't slow him, tried 2 times before having to gate out

He's a belly caster.

First slow was belly casted and resisted (Turgur and i am lvl 59)

you can't solo him far as i know outside of pathing exploits

You should of malo'D him first. But yeah to do this you usually duo it.

Tried with a 52 necro friend, we got him to 53%
Lost too much mana trying to slow malosini
Next try we will go all dots and see where it goes

He has VERY high MR. Near impossible to slow.

Best way to attempt to slow him would be to kill his wolves prior to popping him and then send your pet in to try and tank for a few seconds while you try to get a Malo off. IF you can get the Malo to land and the subsequent slow, then you could solo him.

Outside of that scenario he is, at best, duo-able.

Most effective duo is to have a high level melee tank him while you dot and torpor. Or have a Bard/Necro kite him.

I just killed him with a mago 60 helping me (Thanks Tynbik)
We both had pets, his pet tanked while he nuked and i chain healed his pet.
Was close but we made it.

I heard bards can kite him. I would just grab another person and aggro kite him around with dots ticking.

Well I soloed him recently on blue and they didn't...would be very surprised if this was actually different on red

They'll assist if they're not green to you, as in you have to be high level to be able to single-pull.
