Looking to Form a Static Group

A friend and I are looking to form a static group on the Blue server to assist in leveling our alts.

A static group is usually 5-6 players who meet regularly on set dates and set times. The idea is to stay within 2 or 3 levels of each other and attempt harder areas/dungeons that provide better experience and rewards. The downside is that it restricts you to playing that specific character to a few days a week.

Presently we are a level 9 Dark Elf cleric and a level 7 High Elf enchanter. We both play in the Eastern Standard Time zone and would like to meet Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 pm. and 1 am. We are amenable to starting a bit later or ending a bit earlier. We would also consider other dates/times if it is okay with all the group members.

We hope to do some quick leveling with the Orc Camps in EC before hitting up Befallen in WC. If everyone is level 9 or higher. we can start with Befallen right off the get go.

If you are interested please drop a line here listing class and level. Please remember that you are making a commitment to the entire group to attend on the set dates and times. We hope to be up and running in a week or so.

Hey all. Lets give it a try. This coming Tuesday, September 27 at 9:30 pm. EST. We can meet by the Shady Swashbuckler in the EC tunnels (merchant area). I'll log on around 9 or 9:15 to assist with transport if needed. Lets shoot for the level 8-10 range. My High Elf Enchanter is named Aotik. I can also be found on my shaman Aoshun. For those who can not make the Tuesday/Thursday times, remember the group may decide to play additional dates/times. Also real life has a tendency to ruin the best of plans; so keep leveling your characters and checking in with us. I dislike telling people what class to play and have found that most content, at the lower levels, can be done with pretty well any combination of classes. I'm also big on adding people who are looking for groups or want to join in. Remember we play for fun!! Oh, and phat lewt :P

We had a great time again last night. We have a good core to this group and we were really clicking last night. Befallen was already under assault when we got there but we found a different spot nearby and made some hay while the sun shined. We'll be back at it again tonight if anyone would like to join us.

Yes, it was fun and the lower level dungeons are a hoot. If you are level 10-14 we are meeting at Befallen entrance at 9:15 pm EST and probably have room for a couple of people. Look for Aoltik or Niradra if you want some information. As the saying goes the more the merrier.

A quick update. We are now between levels 14-16 with 2 enchanters, a rogue and a cleric. We were in Befallen for a bit but got stomped by that level 20 named who randomly pops up. We then decided a bit more running room was useful and took over the Derv camp in WC. We broke it multiple times and cashed in a boatload of experience and cutthroat insignia rings ( which can be turned in for more xp ).

We are up again tonight--Thursday Oct.6--at 9:30 pm. EST meeting at EC tunnel. Feel free to join in by sending a /t to Aotik, Niradra or Alteeriar.

We did contact Stormcrush on Tuesday but he never appeared. Take note time and place stormcrush and hope to see you there.

Sorry i missed yall. I was excited but then i got a call from my ranch hand. He told me "Your transcaspian Urial died last night" so i was pretty upset. That animal was suppose to be hunted. Heh. Storm you kill me. Like I said in my post we are levels 14-16...1 is 16 1 is 15 and 2 are 14. You will fit right in :) We are a static group meaning we try and stay within a few levels of each other and only play on specific days. All of us have other characters we play.

@Kazell99--I am not sure how easy it will be to survive at level 6 or 9, but you are welcome to join in. Since bards can still, at early levels, swarm kite a bit, I think your druid would benefit most from a group. However, I leave that decision to you.

Ill be there as usual. I work for a cable company and live on the coast of Florida. I am on call until further notice. I should be able to stay on all night as long as I still have electricity. Not so sure about next week though. Depending on how things go with the weather I may be in for a couple of weeks of 12 hour days.

Just an update for the curious few. We played around in Najena--both inside the dungeon and on the front stoop--and had some fun. We are moving ahead in the leveling with most of our group at 16 or 17.

Since there only 4 of us who play regular we do have 2 spots open. Please remember that this is a static group which plays on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings in the 9:00 pm to 1:00 am EST time slot. We try to stay within 2 levels of each other. So we are not a power leveling system, and; we do prefer to have people make a commitment to the group, rather then just 'popping' in for a level or two and then taking off.

If you feel you can make this commitment we would love to have you join in. You can reach us on Tuesday or Thursday by simply sending a /t to Aotick, Niradra or Alteeriar. We don't care what class you, just so long as you enjoy playing that class and are willing to put the time into the group.

Niradra will not be able to make it this Tuesday and possibly Thursday. I'm having to work graveyard from about 10PM to 8AM dealing with the flooding from Hurricane Matthew. Tuesday is definitely out, and I'll know later in the week whether Thursday is also a bust. I did some levelling this weekend and am almost level 18 so by the time I reconnect with you guys I shouldn't be too far behind.

Wow that durn hurricane has really put the kibosh on things.

It is no problem. Zimra and I have been playing together and are 18. We can play on and off for this week and we can all join up next week. If you can get on try and get up to level 19 or 20. If not, it is no problem and you will level quickly as long as everyone is within 7 or 8 levels of each other.

@gkmarino--that's great. Shadow Knights make awesome tanks and with a rogue and multiple casters, a tank is almost a requirement as we hit the two decade numbers. Look up and fire a tell to Aotik or Zimra when you are on and we can try a trio. My other playing character is named Aoshun, so you might check that name out also.

For those who wanted to join in but were not high enough you can now have a goal for the October 18 session--level 18-20. Hope to see you and have you join us in our explorations in Norrath.

Been a little lax on updating lately due to some personal matters. As the situation now stands we are 2 enchanters level 24, a 22 Druid and a 21 Rogue. Our cleric is at 18 but will be appearing again Thursday, Oct 20. If Schear ( @ericthemighty ) wishes to attend we meet at the EC Tunnel entrance between 9 and 9:30 pm. EST. A quick update for those following our adventures. We spent some time in Najena last Thursday with most of us getting a level. Our group was 2 enchanters, a druid, cleric, rogue and necro. We lost the rogue once on a bad pull but a guild-mate managed to help us out with the CR.

Going forward we are: 2 enchanters level 26, a druid level 24, a rogue level 24, a cleric level 21 and we may be adding an SK level 19 or 20. We may hit Najena again or move over to SolA depending on what the group would like to do. I think we are pretty well set but again you never know. Next meet up date is Tuesday at EC Tunnel entrance between 9 and 9:30 pm. EST. Contact info is listed above.

I think the key to success is (apart from player availability) is to have multiple characters. That way, if the group has a particular class need, or you cant find a group around one of your character's level, you have more options to play with.

Having just one character can be quite restrictive.

I really like the format of this group. We only meet twice a week and the sessions arent really long. We might gain a level in a night or we might wipe. No stress because these arent our mains and its all for the fun of adventure and making a non optimal work. Its quite enjoyable.

Just to keep people apprised and ,dare I say it, encourage others to form their own static groups: We braved SolA last Thursday and almost immediately wiped ( did anyone catch the train that went by ). But we soon recovered and owned our little bit of turf of goblin nastiness.

Our group is 2 chanters 28, a druid 27, a rogue 26, a cleric 22 and a 20 necro. We had a few 'hairy' situations but managed to reap both lewts and experience. The rogue pulls/tanks, the cleric heals and buffs, the necro dots, the druid does whatever the heck druids do in groups and the chanters panic and run around simply to add to the total chaos of any given pull. To date it has been working fine. We will probably be giving SolA some more attention tonight. We meet at the EC Tunnel entrance around 9:15-9:30 pm EST before heading off. If interested drop in. We know it is a roller coaster ride; so don't forget your flight sickness bag!!

A quick update on our static group: We were going to hit SolA on Thursday but it was packed so we headed off to Runnyeye ( of course we got lost going to the druid ring in Lavastorm and did lose our druid to the shadowmen ). At Runnyeye we, naturally, wiped when we got downstairs ( we always wipe the first time in a dungeon ) but we persisted and got a nice killing rhythm going. It was fun.

Our core team is now 2 29 enchanters (can u say crack dealers) a 29 druid (ohh taxi) a 26 rogue (a real backstabber) and a 23 cleric. We are still looking for that illusive 6th character to complete the group. However, our core is still going strong.

We are up again this coming Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 9:15-9:30 pm. EST.

I highly recommend trying out Cazic Thule. Loot won't be as good as Sola, but experience seems similar and you should not have any issue with too many people. Could easily hunt gators and eventually hunt throne room or pyramid.

We are still alive and kicking though we are taking a break for the holidays. We will pick it up again--probably second week of January 2017--and go from there.

Our group range is in the 25-36 bracket and a couple of the group members have leveled up some alts to insert into the process.
