Mortal Online is making a comeback currently, but that is only until they drop a retarded patch and everybody leaves again. Estimated online population is under 350.

Darkfall Rise of Agon(NA) and Darkfall New Dawn (EU) are both in beta status. They have differences but are similar. Estimated online populations for both servers are under 250.

You can always Ultima Online... There are several old-school ruleset servers with online populations above 600.

All of these games are skill based full loot open pvp.

Darkfall had some fun moments but some stuff is utterly terrible.

How about that magical grinding bush that churns out strawberries, carrots, blueberries etc... anywhere you go in the world, you will find such magical bushes.

Also the skill system is terrible.

What i enjoyed was the 70 player raids on player-owned cities, riding mounts/boats and full loot.

Downloading Paladins, playing Path of Exile hardcore but its not holding my attention much.

Not a great time for MMO players who wont just accept any pablum thrown their way

Guild wars 2 is nice for pvp, everyone will be boosted to highest lvl and have same gear options etc, basically everyone is equal, just a matter of skills and team play

Pantheon always seemed like some unattainable ideal rather than an actual "thing".

Im pretty sure how i feel about that. I really feel like this sort of thing is similar to a rotten apple in a bag thats spreading mold to the other ones. All these beancounter fucks who barely touched a game in their lives having too much of a say in monetization schemes getting bad ideas watching shit like this. Im still hoping a dedicated team like the one that created Doom in a garage in 1991 or something can come out of left field and do something amazing but im not holding my breath anymore.

Also the consolization of gaming is a real problem, it really affects game design when you design an RPG for both platforms. Inevitable dumbing down is going to happen.
