Shard cuz 1handers are better than 2handers, lets you throw a plank on secondary, and Piercing has a lower skillcap.

For some reason 2-handers are extremely gimped. If you have access to a good 1-hander it will put out far better DPS than any 2-hander.

what this man said.

this guy knows his stuff.

you'll use that 28-30 1hs bad boi till you 60 and get a nice raid 2hs or epic

I think the coding for Paladin's/SKs melee DMG is gimped in general.

Maybe I only noticed such things after the 2hs patch was already in play on live.. dunno...Coz I distinctly remember on live having a 49 Paladin with Jeldroin+Massive Dragon Shard and a Fungi on just mowing thru undead mobs using the undead Nife circa late 2001. it really made soloing as a Paladin viable in the 50's. On Red99 you could watch an episode of 22.11.63 before your paladin killed a green con undead using NToV 53 dmg 2handers.

in fact one of the camps you could solo as a Paladin was this guy: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=7129 in Echo Caverns. You'd kill all the mobs in the area around him and beable to kill him then have time to med for repops. IIRC it was 5-6 skeletons + him. You'd be doing this around level 45 too.

Ain't no way in hell a Paladin on Red/Blue is soloing like that.
