Tain respawn time?

Accidentally didnt turn into tain quick enough(was MQing) and he got killed by an orc or some shit. Everything I read says 30 minutes or 3 hours for respawn, which is it? Also people say not to give him the elixir immediately on spawn? does that mean i need to trigger him with "i will help" then turn it in and let him get squashed? or to be on the safe side do i need to kill ghrek and his minions all over again?

yeah, foundn tons of 2hr respawns on allas. but p99 might just be 3, cant believe stupid orc walked right over him and one shotted him

This is what I did as a 60 SK to solo the entire encounter with no problems. I left my pet where the giants spawn. I quickly ran up to the giants aoed for Agro and snared the main. I ran them all to the dwarf huts. Dwarfs helped me kill them and I soloed the main.

Tain remained safe
