GUILD HISTORY

We are a guild originally founded on Ultima Online, but are best known for our escapades during EverQuest classic in 1999. Back then we were known as the top EverQuest guild across all servers. Sixteen years later, we formed a new charter on Project 1999 to relive all the great memories we have of EverQuest. Our leader and a few members are from the original charter. We're all adults here and have peeps from all walks of life. Our presence on Project 1999 is just over a year old, and we’re having a great time. So that’s where you come in!

We hang out in Discord (https://discordapp.com/), which is the best gaming voice comms software around. We love it, and think you will too.
We raid about 3 times a week, from 6pm to midnight CST. Come and go as you please!
We use a DKP system to award members for participation.
We wear our guild tag with pride, so please no /anon!
We do not have a level requirement for joining the family, but to come on a raid you should be 50 or above.
We want you to stick around long term, and to keep your main character with us.

Couthor Spirithound was my main back then, I recreated him on this server just as he was in '99 haha! I was in some small guilds but nothing notable, the only one I can even remember was called The Third Order. I was never a FoH member myself, it was seriously the most coveted guild in all of EverQuest at the time for real. You were pro status if you were tagged FoH! My friends and myself back then were all jealous of the guild tag. The name just brings back classic memories for me. :)

1 year ago I remember running around like a headless chicken in Gfay on my druid thinking what to do with my life. I think I was around level 10 at that time, my first character. It just so happened that Qani was recruiting around that area on his bard and got me in.
My first ever guild in P1999!
They were are a levelling guild at the time which worked out perfectly for me because I was also levelling and it was that was how my Journey began.

1 year later, here I am, now a level 60 druid running around with intentions and with multiple level 60's with epics thanks to Qani who formed this amazing guild on p1999, who likes to be known as the "Generous God". He is a Generous God because he will always put his members first before himself.
If you want a guild leader who has your back Qani is the one for you. He also brings a lot of fun and humour to raids, bringing everyone together. What he has created is not just a guild but a family.

The foundation of the guild in taking on the limited content that p1999 offers is what I believe is what makes Fires of Heaven a better experience than even the largest endgame guilds on the server.
By taking content one step at a time, not rushing it for end game pixels but by growing and progressing together, everyone is on the same page, helping each other finish epics and moving up the raid ladder always having a sense of progression.
It is very easy to just join an end game guild and before you know it you are at the top.

When you are in a progressive guild like this, suddenly everything else going on around you does not really matter, this guild is like a game itself, progressing at its own pace and going up level by level.

Fires of Heaven have come a long way from Solb where Mithril Legs were great! to present ToV. It is not too late for anyone to join Fires of Heaven, There is plenty of progression still to come in the future to make this game much more everlasting for anyone who wishes enjoy this fantastic game as long as they can, and be a part of p1999 history.

Fires of Heaven will continue to grow and Fires of Heaven will continue to burn brightly on the server as long as Sirken or Braknar does not pull the plug :eek: do not pull the plug guys! We are having fun and our Journey has just begun! ;)

This guild has only been around for 1 year. There are guilds out there who have been around since the start of the server. If you plan on playing p1999 for a long time, then you should consider joining Fires of Heaven, great bunch of people with an awesome leader.

I have been with Fires of Heaven on P99 for it's whole life. It was my second guild on the server, the first having merged into FoH when it was brand new to the server. At the time of the merger, my druid was in his 40s and one of the highest levels in the guild. I innocently took a role as a recruitment officer with my porting capabilities, and it has since turned into one of my best MMO experiences of my gaming career. Our member base is and has been eager to help anyone progress their characters and get done what they need to get done.

We started at a solid leveling guild, inviting the influx of new to the server players at the time, and it wasn't long before we started our first Fire Giant raids in SolB. From those first raids on, we've worked as a team to progress the core members and all new recruits through as much content as we could. Soon we were planar, scouring Kunark for epic pieces, scouting Velious, and taking as many members and new recruits as we could with us. Through a great deal of effort and dedication from our leader, officer teams, and members we now find ourselves as close as ever to the top tier content.

It's a great guild for anyone looking for a genuine MMO experience. Our core members have never jumped ship to shoot straight to the top. We've been dedicated to the exploration of and progression of the server's content as a whole. We value all members and new recruits ideas and requests to see they have the same experience. Come be a part of it, and we will share with you in everything we have built!

As far as any kind of statement being made public about relieving ourselves of a toxic player, I can assure you that we were aware of issues as they arose. Our officers communicate as much as possible, and we certainly weren't all laughing with him. You'd actually find that he had helped the guild tremendously for a time, and that all of his worst behaviors were at times where he wasn't engaged in FoH activities. Once enough out of guild incidents bottle necked, he began to stray from where the guild wanted to take things. At that point he was left to be a lone wolf by his own devices.

There's a public statement for anyone interested. We're past it. Thanks.

It's been a while since I've posted, but that's not to say that we haven't been busy!

As always, FoH has been continuously taking down gods, dragons, and other undesirable Norathian denizens over the past few weeks and we're always looking for new members. Fires of Heaven is a casual raiding, family-first guild. We often form guild groups for experience/loot and always encourage our members of proper level to attend all raids, however nothing is mandatory.

All raids (unless otherwise stated) begin at 6pm CST and go until about 12am CST. No one is penalized for leaving early. Our only requirements are that you listen to the raid leaders in Discord (our preferred voice chat app) and pay attention, and put the guild before greed. We operate on a DKP loot system. Namely - the more you show up, the greater the opportunity that you'll receive high end loot! Also, we want our members to wear the guild tag with pride, so no /anonymous in-game.

We've got a good group of players, come hang out with us!

I am fairly new to P99 and instantly greeted by a friendly necro in FoH.. He was super excited to help me get started.. He was farming guards in felwithe and needed some help selling weapons to a vendor. After helping him out he was extremely generous and spared me 100PP to start my adventure.. This was incredibly memorable and has helped a lot.

This is one thing I've noticed a lot of people in FoH do.. they got the extra mile to help each other out.. There are a ton of friendly in this guild! Just to shout out a few people that has helped a noob get cozy in P99... Athaleya [name is super hard to spell], Korwil and Hobes.. If you're looking for a guild you should take the time and check 'em out!

FoH is the only guild I've been a member of on p99 and I can't see that ever changing. I've seen the content and raid progression start from solb royals up to NToV, fear golems, HoT, Kunark dragons, and even a god or two. More than I've seen of the classic world than on live. I couldn't have hoped to have fallen in with a better bunch of people and we're still pushing to new things. I've earned a VP key through am looking forward to checking it out.

Fires of Heaven, Anonymous, and Venerate worked hard to hash out a mutual server agreement this week to allow for shared/distributed targets among guilds. Thanks to everyone involved! It worked out great, and we crushed all of our targets! Cazic Thule and Cazic Thule x2 (old and new at the same time), Lord Yelinak x2, Telkorenar x2, Lendiniara the Keeper, and Zlandicar. We also got some other nice targets with our force.

After FoH (folded/went inactive/I'm not really sure what happened tbh) on live, one of their/your rangers started a guild called Fires of Earth on Morden Rasp server, myself and several friends were members for close on a year before the ranger(whose name started with T, because that narrows it down right?) had a dip in playtime and we dispersed to active raid guilds. Might have to hit you guys up in-game.

I wanted to drop by and tell Qani thanks for streaming last night. I was able to get my raid fix in watching that last night.

I was also very impressed by Qani's ability to handle the needs of his members and the other raid leaders on the fly during the earthquake last night.

FoH and Venerate ventured into Veeshan's Peak for the first time last night to take down Silverwing as part of a recent pact with other raiding guilds. We've been taking down lots of dragons recently and it's been a blast!

Personally, I had never even gone to VP on live, so it was a really cool experience to go for the first time.
