Every game i play i reminisce about EQ, someone i was hanging out with the other day told me about prj1999 and i decided to give it a try!

I am a new bard on the PVE server, and frankly i am starting to remember what a PITA it was the first time around to level up. Don't get me wrong, i have been very lucky so far. However...

Anyway, i am looking for some advice on where to get some armor, and armor progression (where i should grind in the future). I am still running around in cloth from Freeport starter area and im now level 12. I really can't remember where i can get some upgrades ? Advice needed!

If you group up in Unrest, Mistmoore and SolB you will be able to pick up ringmail and bronze armor, most likely without competition.

He is prolly not a wood elf (since he started in freeport), so small bronce wont work. I would advice to just make some money (killing wisps for example) and then just buy banded.

Lots of orcs drop raw-hide armor. Leather is purchasable from merchants and has reasonable sell back value.

Banded is cheaply available from players, costing around 100pp for a full set.

You're a bard. All you need to do is learn how to swarm kite. Buy a vendor drum and horn and you can do it naked until 55. Then worry about gear.

Literally this. 3 HQ bear pelts and you're good on armor for about 20 levels (and you won't look like a total scrub). Being a good bard has very little to do with gear.
