The AP. Virutally every major news organization just apes them or uses their stuff. Reuters sucks. Not that the AP doesn't suck too, they just suck less than Reuters.

facebook :P

*edited to add* just for clarification....I avoid the news. AT. ALL. COSTS. I am intentionally one of the least informed people you will ever meet :) If something is THAT important....SOMEONE on my friends list on facebook will post about it and I can follow the links there and seek more info if i want to ;)

You may think i'm stupid for being uninformed......but really....I just choose to control how much depressing crap I view every day :P

I've been a regular reader/watcher of Al Jazeera for a fairly long time. I'm not sure what makes it "superior" as a news source though because I haven't tried many others, except the BBC but their website layout is so ugly!

Just curious, what benefit does reading multiple news sources have?

well see, lazortag, in america and other western countries we have something called privately owned media companies. these privately owned media companies, such as the one owned by rupert murdoch, have vested interests for many different reasons. in order to best protect these interests (money) they spin news stories in beneficial ways. i hope this has been informative to you. have a lovely day.

I'm aware of what makes a really bad news source, I'm just not sure why some people prefer one legitimate news source over the other, apart from shallow reasons (like why I prefer AJE over BBC)

So for example, if you were to stick only to BBC, you would miss the details of the US diplomatic cables that The Guardian is publishing.
