View Full Version : Error in GUI XML file with every patch
Forgot how to fix this lmao but this really happens every single patch.
Help?
Step 1: reload back-up default folder into uifiles
Step 2: open patch zip, go into uifiles > default
Step 3: drag all files into uifiles > default on your computer, hit Yes To All when prompted about overwriting files
Step 4: that's it
Thats exactly what i did and that is what brought me to this issue lol

I feel like you guys merged your folders instead of copying and overwriting the contents.

Previously I had 3 folders in my UiFiles folder. Classic, default, and default_old. Now I only have default. I found a thread about the duxa ui which had instructions on adding the default old folder files, did that...but still no classic folder. I feel like that must be the issue for me, but I can't find the original classic folder anywhere as I didn't make a backup.

UPDATE: I restored a previous version of my Sony folder files and located my classic and default_old UI folders. I then manually moved all the new updated files over, copied the new "Default" UI folder into my UI Files folder but left the classic and default_old folders in there. Still getting the same UI error message.

So I managed to get past the UI error message now and I am still getting the stupid spell files outdated message. I did move the updated files over, ughhh this is frustrating.

Don't copy the UIFiles folder from the patch zip. I really wish this would be a seperate zip file from the update patch.

Yeah I did that...extracted all the files BUt the UI folder and NOW I am no longer seeing the GUI XML error, I just continue to get the "spell files outdaded" issue!

Then you didn't copy the en_spells.dat file over.
