WOw.... One of the greats died... Nothing was more memorable for me than his role in Willy Wonka.

Amazing man for suffering in silence out of consideration for the world. That needs to be said off top.

He was a big part of Americas childhood and an entire generation of teen boomers for Blazing Saddles.

83 not too shabby (Although I think 90 is everyone's comfort zone when they consider how long they'd like to live, and what a "full life" is)

I think a lot of people are still reeling from the Robin Williams loss.

Didn't even realize he had Alzheimer's.

Tonight's a good night for Young Frankenstein, I think.

shit im rubbing off, run to the corner, hit your head 3 times, and remember that you are the one in control of your soul.

then at the apex of your mountain (tyr/tor? etc..) say 3 things that will alienate u from your "god" and then fall to the depths to when you hit the rokcs... the time to learn is here and the epoch? written device to epic in the epocalistal way ...

really tho shouldnt even add this in, specially after my inebriated moreshorethanshare shit...

allzheimers is the worst thing to deal with with people u love and deal with cuz u love them and they need help... runner up dementia and that is rough and unyielding....

sadly and happily it leads to an event when a passing can be what the afflicted would wish hope and pray for in that specific ... =( toughest ever....

"Good Man" Gene Wilder with his good friend Richard Pryor.
These guys made some of the funniest adult comedy movies ever.

I watched Willie Wonka. That's about the extent of how much I cared. I was going to call out sick and such , but I did that when Prince & David Bowie Died a bit ago.

Lol but really I think the nerd community did respect gene wilder's work. The hipsters on IG though? Probably haven't seen a single piece of his work.

Fuck them

Please sir we prefer to be called geeks, not nerds. :)
I love the way gene could go from perfectly normal to totally bat shit crazy in a second. If that's not acting idk what is.

In all seriousness... I grew up watching Charlie and the chocolate factory, and Young Frankenstein. I still watch them to this day. Sad that that he died, but I'll continue enjoy the hell out of those two flicks.

He lived a full life. It sucks he's no longer around and had to die to Alzheimer's which robs you of a good death.

If you knew you were going to die to Alzheimer's for a medical fact it's worth setting it on your own terms. Not a medicated suicide per say, but do it on your own terms in some way.

Die with human consciousness, die with dignity. Overdose on DMT, jump out of a plane without a parachute. Sounds terrible?

Not as terrible as dying without what makes you human, imo.

Feel free to disagree.

Alzheimer's probably is the worst way to go. hoping he died of something else while he had it, not that it actually progressed that far to be cause of death.
