I'm a lvl 37 Iksar monk. This is my highest level on P1999. I'm looking for feasible items that I can hunt/obtain for weight reduction, str, dex, etc.
I currently have a FBSS and quivering staff. I've soloed to this level but now need groups.

My enchanter can make any jewelry pieces, but I need the best short term, but even more long term items to succeed. Suggestions?

There is a momento box in Sol A. 75% WR but small only. Could be used for bandages or other small items...

I would buy or camp a large soiled bag for your food/bandages/shurikens (costs about 600-800p) and is a 10 slot 100% wt reduction for small items and only weighs 1 (weight of the actual bag is a serious consideration when considering wt reducing bags IMO). It's basically a tink bag for small stuff. I also put a premium on getting a tink bag but you need 5200 (if bought from merchant in Sol A).

What I did was farm Shiny Brass Idols in HPH and Shrunken Goblin Skull Earrings to buy a few key items I wanted. Idols sell for 600-800p depending who is buying (have seen some paying as high as 1k in EC). Earrings sell fairly reliably for 2k but may not sell immediately. Another way to make some cash is hit up Crystal Caverns and kill Geos. You might need a duo partner but with a shaman you can clear those pretty easy and make some good plat and OK XP.

Other items I might consider would be a Jade Mace for MH and a SoS for OH (DW seems to be better dmg than 2hb in my experience so far). For armor you should be able to hit Dalnir and farm a set of Crescent armor (6 pieces) that is pretty nice (but no drop) and then fill in the missing slots with Wu's since this is 12 piece set (if you don't already have that or better). I think you can solo the mobs you need in Dalnir at 37 but could be dangerous with all the casters..would be safer to go with a duo or trio.

Beyond that you can start filling in pieces of Black Pantherskin armor that goes for 1k-1500 each. As an Iksar you can work on your shackle quest for a pretty nice bracer.

Some other pieces I have picked up are platinum wedding rings for AC/HP (5AC/55HP), Cougar Claw Earring from IC cougars (4AC/3STR/2DEX) and Orc Fang Earring (AC3/STR3/HP15) and Sarnak-Hide Mask (AC6/5STR). Aside from the BPS armor those items are all fairly affordable and/or can be farmed.

I also have an IFS but I have gotten better results with JM/SoS since I been 40. I'm mostly holding onto the IFS for mobs with DS or when I'm super buffed up in a group. If I had it to do over though I would not have bought the IFS and just used my quivering staff until I could afford a tstaff. PB is nice but that 10 weight is pretty annoying.

The Guano Harvester in SolB drops a small 100% wr bag with a decent number of slots. Also sometimes a 0.0 weight cloak with 13 AC. You're level is still slightly low to get in groups (you want to join bats n bugs, or duo with soloers at the bats zoneline), but if you ask nicely maybe they will let you in.

You can get xp with characters up to 55. If you see my war online in SolB (Jimjam) I'd let you join me as I already have both items (they are lore).

I have 3 weight reducing bags, and I don't collect items ... my armor is my problem, I guess. I destroy tons of cash ... I guess I need help on armor

What are you wearing for armor now? There's monk only no drop armor that drops in Dalnir - not sure if it would be an upgrade for you but might be worth checking out. You should be able to get the pieces by yourself or with a small group.

What are you looking for from your armour? AC, stats, resist, hp?

There are pages on the wiki that let you sort items by stats. Maybe this would be a good place to start?

The secret truth of the monk life is that your weapon and haste is all that really matters. Save up for a Peacebringer and keep it until you get your epic.

Also when you get 46+ tag along with a guild who runs Sky to get haste belt for free

That's a great question. I don't think I'm quite ready for resist gear until I can start raiding, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I think strength and AC are probably the most important for me, now??

I'm going to fill out my Magelo profile tonight so you can see what I have.

I either dual world Cane of Harmony staves or use my 2hb WQS

2x staves of shielding will be the best dps you can get until 50s, then replace Sos mainhand with epic or something fast, jade mace maybe.

If you have any haste at level 37, you're doing better than I was.

At that level, it's not worth your time to camp gear. A couple levels will probably give you as much of an improvement in both damage and defense as a pricey gear upgrade and will also take less time and make it easier for you to get money later. I would recommend focusing 100% on XP and not worrying about gear (except, perhaps, weight reduction bags, an upgrade to your weapons, or HP/AC rings) until you get 51.

Memento box is too heavy. You can camp Shralok Packs and Lionhide Backpacks now, and you'll keep using either of those almost forever. In your late 40s, you can get in a group to camp a large soiled bag (or you can solo it once you get 51 and can bind wound to 70%).

For 1HB, you want either a Jade Mace, Adamantite Club, or Stave of Shielding for your main hand, and you want a Stave of Shielding for your off hand. For a 2HB, you want an Imbued Fighters Staff (about the same damage as a Peacebringer, but better against damage shields, which is pretty much the only reason you'll use a 2HB, and much lighter).

My guide (http://wiki.project1999.com/Meviin%27s_Monk_Mechanics#Gearing) also has some other gear recommendations and such, but you probably shouldn't worry about that much now.
