While I totally agree that there needs to be something, even a sleeper reset.

The staff have made non-direct posts hinting that there will not be a sleeper reset.

Our best hope is for green(a new classic - velious server) or purple(teams pvp(not as bad as it sounds))
or some kind of 'custom' content such as dungeons from other expansions.

Sleeper does not need to be reset, plus it would just be woken within a week or two anyway,

Why would A/A do that? Hokushin & friends who were "done with the server" did it to spite everyone on P99. Some of those folks are in Awakened now, but I don't think they could convince their spited guildies to do it. Aftermath certainly wouldn't do that shit either.

Yep. Trust me, I dream of a utopian Project 1999 server where the top guilds aren't obscenely selfish pixel-grubbing sociopaths, but this is not the server that we have. It would die in the first few days if not the first few hours after being reset. Also, Sleeper permadeath is classic as hell.

in fact, somehow the warders were back up again on red a few weeks ago (sleeper was awoken months and months ago)

I remember <Tempest> lobbying for a reset really hard, and then warders show up. Not sure if they were killed, but pretty weird timing.

The night the Sleeper was being awoken on Blue there was an assumption (or at least a hope) that he was going to be reset. This was based on some remark made months prior on a Sirken stream. It's not without merit to assume a reset could happen, even if it's lauded as custom content.

I wouldn't hold my breath.

There's some things on red like Sebilis still being flagged as a raid zone (meaning it has custom FFA rules - no pvp level range) while ToV and other Velious raid zones are not.

Things get left behind in that community because it is so intense and "do anything to win" that when the staff comes by and says "okay everyone calm down whats all this about" they walk away from it even more bent out of shape (or maybe just disgusted and flustered) than the people arguing.

So yeah, couple scripts, some custom zone flags and mechanics... warders coming out of the wood work etc

i was informed they did it to spite detoxx. everyone else was just collateral damage.
