<Paradox> is a casual raiding guild recruiting new members on the Project 1999 blue server. Our #1 goal is to have fun playing Everquest. We are EQ veterans who have seen the end game and want to experience that content again, but at a casual pace. No poopsocking, no drama.

We believe real life will always trump playing Everquest. Many of our members have spouses, lives, children and jobs. If you can make a raid, great! If you can't, no worries.

Current level requirement is 40+ and we use https://discordapp.com to communicate during raids (speaking is not required, but listening is important).
NO DKP. /ran 1000 need before greed. Mains before alts.

Our raids vary from week to week but typically start @ 8pm EST. We do the planes and HoT. We raid Sky every Monday night @ 8pm EST. On the last Friday of every month, we host an OPEN Kael arena raid and slay Vindi; awarding a random player his sweet loot! We see 130+ people show up for this event.

What about epic quests? We do those too! So far we have accomplished epics for: Clerics, Enchanters, Monks, Druids, Shamans, Paladins, Rogues, Rangers, Mages, a ShadowKnight and even a Bard!

If you play EQ 24/7, you aren't casually playing this game anymore and will likely be a poor fit for <Paradox>. You won't see Vulak loot or get BiS for every slot in our guild. We say this to avoid any unrealistic expectations.

Hello Project 1999!

Our guild <Paradox> is hosting an OPEN Chardok Royals raid this Friday 8/19 @ 9pm EST.

All loot will be /ran 1000. Epic pieces from King/Queen/Prince/Herbalist will be class specific /ran 1000.

46+ is the minimum level requirement to attend this riad.

<Azure Guard> has offered their support with leading us through Chardok. <Fires of Heaven> has also posted the event in their boards, so we hope to see them too =)

Anyone 45+ is welcome to join and all loot will be /ran 1000. If you win a piece of Thurgadin armor, you cannot win another piece of Thurgadin armor unless all other players of your respective class type have won a piece. I keep a running list during the raid.

All gems will be donated to the <Paradox> guild bank. We used to allow everyone to /ran for gems, but so many gems dropped that it caused loot to be backed up and people started ninja looting. We lost 2 Thurgadin armor drops and 1 Blue Diamond because of greedy players. It's really tough to let 70 people roll on gems and keep the loot situation under control. If we catch you ninja looting again during our open raid, we will report you and you will not be welcome to attend any of our events.

When you win an item, it is your responsibility to immediately stop fighting and search every corpse for your loot. Be relentless, there are ninjas among us!

On a more positive note, last month we killed Derakor the Vindicator and a random player got Chestplate of Vindication! =) We plan to do the same this time.

Gather INSIDE KD at the Wakening Lands zone line so we can move to the Arena as a group.

Hey there Rooter - we need all classes at the moment really so I would strongly encourage you to pick whatever sounds fun. If you really want to narrow it down though, we are often short on warriors, clerics (less so lately, but they're always needed), mages and necros.

Be sure to put in an app at paradoxeq.com after you get up a little in levels (it sounds like you're just starting here maybe, or starting over?) - our minimum raid level is 46 but we often invite people a little early. Can always just say hi in game as well, usually have a few alts leveling up.

I wanted to come on here and leave a parting message as the final leader of <Paradox>...

It has been an honor and a pleasure getting to know this diverse-minded and enthusiastic group of people. It was a privilege to be asked to take over leadership. Thank you all for the fond memories that I will surely hold on to over the tough/frustrating times.

My thanks go out to all of those guilds and alliances we have partnered with over these years. Our personal growth as a guild would not have come so far without these relationships.

And finally, I wanted to thank ALL of my guild officers for the amazing tireless and certainly thankless jobs they performed. We were legit, we built something fantastic and we were a force to be reckoned with.

<Paradox> is gone but it's spirit will now be further spread throughout the rest of the server as everyone finds their ways into new guild homes. I wish you all the best and I hope to see you folks around. Don't be strangers!

Hi Paradox folks! Sorry to hear about your situation, but I suppose that's life. I don't know how often y'all took videos of your kills, but I have a capture of Paradox taking down Gorenaire in about 26 seconds, which I found to be pretty damn impressive.
