SBS is 1k. Fungi 45kish. GEBs are 1.5k or less.

At some point Fungi will be 30k, then 15, then 5k.

This is not classic. Items are supposed to be expensive.

Farming seafuries for 40 minutes and buying GEBs with the cash you made in these 40 minutes is NOT classic and it will only get worse.

Nilbog stated that P99 shall be the closest possible copy of classic EQ up to Velious. At some point, the mudflation will challenge this equilibrium.

Any idea on what could be done?

I have one that isn't classic at all. But I believe that unstoppable mudflation is even less classic and one might want to consider the least of two evils.

My idea: add an NPC that will give you exp in exchange of droppable items. All droppable items (of value) would get a value of exp assigned to them.

A granite bracer - something like 2% exp at 51.

A SSoY - 3% at 42.

Gatorscale legs: 5% at 25.

AoN - 50% at 59.

Established players will be able to level up their Nth twink without bard swarming and whatnot. Shouldn't affect the balance of the Force much, if at all.

But items will be sought after again, even the Bracer of Battle or the Onyx Earring because it will be worth something, unlike now.

Doing a search shows Fungi going for 45k back in 2012... and 2014... prices go up and down all the time.

Increase number of hill giants. Massively decrease frequency of seafury gem drops. ??? Server's rate of plat is classic and problem solved?

No human element of p99 is "classic." But it's impossible to make it otherwise. So the devs do their best to make classic mechanics and we take it from there.

There's more plat income into the economy than rare items. I don't think you quite understand what inflation means... especially for a server that's locked at Velious.

Fungis are going to be 100k+ sooner rather than later.

This is not happening now. Yes, this was happening before Velious and before the platlord crackdown. With the item recharge plat sinks now churning, I doubt we'll see fungus covered scale tunic near 100k again.

only ideas to reverse inflation wont be classic, but the coolest non-classic best idea would be a vendor to buy charms with lv req. and nice stats or maybe just neato clicky illusions , put the shittiest one somewhere around 100k and the best at 10mil! yeah lets do that...
