Don't have the time for EQ in another Timezone. Maybe if I lived in the US but even still you work your ass off even harder in the US with a pitiful 5 days of leave on your first year. I'll take my 6 weeks of annual leave thx.

Don't know how you guys can afford to play EQ ; most people work 50+ hours a week in the US to make ends meet with the increasing costs of living.

Not just the past presidency dude. Take the partisan hack shit down a notch.

Wages have been stagnant since 1999 at the least, some sectors as early as 1996-97. And family income has been steadily declining since 1992.

Its been a steady downward trend. Same jobs, lower salaries for the past 20 years decreasing mostly every year. Corporations are incentivized to hire cheap, get decent people for the lowest money possible.

But you are right, the same jobs are paying less. This is why tax cuts alone don't work to fix the economy and why you should be skeptical of Trump. The corporations simply aren't playing ball. They are treating America like a 3rd world country.

Corporations are making record profits and sitting on the most cash reserves in history after the recovery, guess how much money made it into workers hands? None, all decreases in salary among white collar workers and wage workers.

Nah my cousins are all on 6 figures in Silicon Valley. You can't buy a house within a 1 hour drive for anything less than a mill. Both the guys flipping burgers and the ones working high end jobs do 50 hour weeks it's just the culture.

U guys get like 5 days annual leave in a new job. We get 4 weeks standard.

Eating out is expensive too, you go to a restaurant and expect that they pay their employees properly because the prices are high, but as always you add the tax and a 15-20% tip. Imagine dinner for 4 being like $200+ in a crowded restaurant and then having to pay the waiter on behalf of the business. The tip culture is an embarrassment.

LA was really starting to get run down; lots of small businesses blocks vacant in Beverly Hills and a lot of the roads in disrepair. The century city shopping centre was being renovated to attract people and was pretty dead. Then you got like 30 000 homeless people in tents and shit on one side of the cbd.

New York is probably the favorite city. Have to say though next time I'll be hiring a car and doing a road trip, plus 3 and a half weeks is not enough time there. Need like 5-6 weeks to really experience a fair share of your large and densely populated country.

Weird how you insinuate the most expensive place to live in America by far is the norm for the rest of the country. It shows how much of an idiot you are. Also I've never worked at a job that didn't give less than 3 weeks of annual leave (currently I get 30 and it carrys over at end of the FY), no idea who the fuck you're talking to that got jipped out of their Wal-Mart sick days. I also find it hilarious that your "cousins" that make "6 figures" are complaining about a $50 meal at a nice restaurant + a 10$ tip. Maybe if you can't afford it you should cook at home. Stop implying you know about american business/job culture when you don't, at all.

Wow ur dumb. $250 plus state tax plus 15% tip for one dinner, now multiply it daily and multiple times a day.

I'm complaining - $75 USD per person in Australia buys you twice as much at the same type of restaurant.

The suggestion that Australia is cheaper or better value than north America is horribly flawed.

5 dollar jugs Pabs at Great Northern in whitefish Montana vs 30 dollar jugs at Byron Bay.....

Electricity that isn't over 100 bucks a month.

Gas bills that barely break 20 bucks a month.

Petrol prices at leat 30% less than Australia

And let's not even get started on how far a dollar stretch on real estate. Then add to the fact that that income tax and rates are less. Gst is less. Etc etc etc. On the same money I'd be on in Australia based in Canada, which is typically more expensive than most of the states, I've been around 2k a.month better off on the same, possibly better lifestyle than I was living put of Brisbane.

Tipping for runs in WoW depends on the speed of the run, and if you want to use them again, and their ethnicity. Asian people won't appreciate your tip regardless, it's all business to them and the tip won't earn you faction. I'm happy to help advise on this matter in PM.

American does have some nice corporate subsidies on fuel, gas, electric, and food. but the food is really adulterated with additives and modifications to maintain efficiency and meet demand

Purdue adds msg salt to all their stuff and you wouldn't know it.

I ate chicken from a Central American supplier once (imported) at this Mexican joint. And I was shocked at how the chicken tasted (it was indescribably gross and void of flavor. Eat at a joint that uses a non-US chicken supplier and u'll see what I mean) and then I found out about the additives and adulterants Purdue uses and it made sense.

If anything recalculating for taxes would put Australia at an even further disadvantage.

Sales tax is included in those prices, only federal and state income taxes are left out. Australia has a higher federal tax and not all states even have state income taxes including where I live.
