Hi again,
I'm having a hard time getting on using WINE under Linux.
EQ titanium client launches and then I get a black window and it closes.
Any thoughts?

Hmm a black window.. Is it a small black box? If so:
When you configured wine for it did you configure it to run in a virtual desktop, and at what resolution?
Does that match your eqclient.ini's windowed or full screen resolution values? (Can't remember which value the vdesktop resolution setting has to match in eqclient.ini guessing windowed)

Which distribution release are you running? I can try to whip up a guide as I was going to migrate my home desktop off and don't mind doing stuff like that since I'll be backing up my home folder and blowing everything away anyhow.
I prefer to run Fedora, but can do something else in the meantime. If you get yours working, please post the changes you completed to make it work. It looks like the Linux how-tos could use some updating due to end of life OS versions being listed.

I installed P99 on Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty). After many many hours of trying to decipher the guide that guy wrote. I do thank them for posting that information, however it was not exactly straight forward due to poor wording. I was able to start EQ however when I got to the logon server select screen there are no logon servers to choose from. I saw someone posted another script to write for it to correct this issue but I have no idea what to do with it at all. I would love to be able to get this running on linux then I will have zero use for windows. Linux is a much better OS than windows. I have zero use for anything related to windows, being as you can now get office for Linux.

It's been a long time, but maybe try turning off Vertexshaders in your eqclient.ini?
VertexShaders=FALSE

I can't remember if it's Mac or Linux but any Linux/Mac users remember there being something with fonts that needed to be switched, like corefonts?
Also another issue this might pertain to here:
