So I made a wizard in freeport and I'm kicking ass out in the yard. Some high powered peeps are killing a Sir Lucan or whatever and im like. here, eat this token frost bolt. well when he died it made me a dirty rotten scoundrel as far as the guards are concerned. now i cannot get back inside to the wizard house to buy spells. what do?

If you weren't high enough to train meditate yet... well... you might want to start over. It's a pretty big faction hit to overcome. Otherwise just wait until you get invis and then don't care. Or have some one buy spells for you. Or use the canals and make buying spells a commando mission. Or go level in faydark for now and use the caster guild in Felwithe. Those are a few options.

To be clear though, militia faction is only a minor convenience once you have access to invis, so it really isnt a big deal in the long run.

I had this problem on EQ Live many years ago. Apparently, it's a -2000 hit. Wow!! Had to make serious enemies out of the Knights of Truth to get it back. I seem to recall making myself ally to BOTH the Militia AND Knights, but I don't remember what I did to make that happen.

With a little clever sewer usage you can bypass the Militia easily, unless of course your a human wizard or warrior who needs to train in WFP and don't have access to invis.
