Resist gear (monk)

As I make my way thru my low-mid 50's my thoughts turn to resist gear so I can effectively pull for groups and raids.

I'm thinking of getting a pair of diamond velium rings and a frog crown as they are not too expensive (3-3.5k? for the 3 pieces totaling 36 resist cold and fire and 16 everything else). Then start saving for the velium blue diamond bracelets (7k for the pair).

Any other ideas or thoughts that I'm over looking?

u want resist earrings too and wurmscale coat ( shoulders ) then u should be good

+ resists buffs and bard songs u should be close to cap good enough for normal raiding until u get high end raid resist gear

when u got time hang around western waste dragons after u have good non kos dragon faction for a free +4 all neck from local dragon farming shamans
they usually call out in ooc to see who wants because it is of no use for them.

Awesome advice, I have non kos dragon faction now. Just need a succor across SG.

I take resist gear very seriously as a monk, try to get to 255 cap without bard buffs for pulling purposes (except for MR, not sure that is possible without some BiS or NTov stuff).

I keep a haste item on my waist, for slots I don't list I plan on just using SS / Kael armor for minor resists

For MR I use:
Earring of Essence
BD Earring
Velium Wolf Necklace
Velium Jacinth Wedding Ring x2
BD Tiara
Kedge Mask (still need, plan on getting... have the JC +4 mr mask now)
Wurm Scale Coat
BD Bracer x2
Cloak of Ry'gor oracles
Sarnak Emblazened Tabard
Epic
Starmetal Ore for range (ignore weight on the wiki, its wrong. Only 1.7 stone)
Pickled Wyvern for food (+3 MR)


For Cold/Fire I use:
BD Earring x2
BD Pendant
Crown of the Frog Kings
Golden Diamond Mask
Wurm Scale Coat
Shiverback-Hide armbands (still trying to pickup)
BD Bracer x2
Seahorse scale coat
Gnomish Enviromental Suit
Epic
Stone of Morid for range (Must have +30 CR/FR for IKS)
Wooly Spider Crunchies for food

I don't worry about Disease resists at present, but for Poison Resist I have a decent suit, but plan to focus on getting the PoM flower. It has a +50 PR buff that stacks with DMF and Poison resist. This gives you +160 PR with buffs, making the rest easy. I seen on boards people selling for 10k which includes a coth.

I am currently using stuff like Carrion Beetle leggings, Electrum Mask, Spectral Shroud, and Gnomish Environmental Suit until I get the PoM Flower.

I know it's not as easy as it sounds, but epic is also great for your resists, that and levels to 60 are what I would concentrate on most.

I had 255 MR doing Xeno yesterday and at 54 I stayed stunlocked the whole fight. Get 60. The rest will come...
