Oasis or unrest or LOIO are probably your best bets for finding people LFG or LFM at that level.

Uhhh maybe you aren't getting into a group in lguk because you are lvl18?

Level 18 and 19 are tough in-betweener levels.. id say stick to Oasis till 20 then try Mistmoore pond group.

Go to Unrest. It can be a bit chaotic with the trains and getting a group can be hit or miss there but if you can get into an MR group you will get great XP.

I think the original poster means Upper guk...LoIO windmill? Might be able to squeeze another level out of oasis.... pre-kunark upper guk was definitely the place to go after Oasis, it's probably not very popular for groups now

If you can grab a duo partner I think the entrance area of Najena is a pretty good spot as well. I got some great XP there around that level (iirc) with a team of two. Just clear to the elementals and then move back to entrance and reclear. There was a tiny bit of downtime but pretty good XP. I might be off by a couple levels..can't recall what level those ogres are but the entrance skelis aren't too hard.

Thank you for all the suggestions! I guess I'll try to get up to 20 in Oasis and then move on from there and try to find where the groups are.

Yes, I meant lower guk... force of habit from back in the day.

I'm not sure how many leveling groups are available in the lower levels these days. Kinda sucks to be honest being new to the sever and this being my first character. When I do a /who all 18 20 there don't seem to be many people looking to group. Some folks who are geared to the 9's who'd rather solo or people plvling through the levels...

Is what it is and I guess I'll get really good at charm soloing :)

Any idea at what level groups start to be common place? I went through HHK the other day to get spells and it was deserted as well... doesn't really bode well for my "usual" leveling zone path

Thanks again folks!

14-20 Oasis
20-23 Unrest/Uguk
23-40 MM
40-54 CoM
54+ CHARDOK GREED

I had the same exact issue. I just hit level 20 on my rogue.

For leveling, I started in CB, and xp was great. Then, I headed to unrest, but I was always waiting in line to group. When I did find groups, it was good though. So I headed to oasis for a few levels for orcs, and once orcs started to get slow, I searched in Guk and Befallen for groups - but never had success. 18 and 19 seemed to be the hardest to find a group.

I went back to oasis and found groups easily at crocs. It was a little bit slower, and we had atypical group comps, but it seemed the buffed twinks or power gamers weren't controlling the camps there.

Now at 20, people say to head to MM or Unrest, and I may give it a shot.

Seems like a real problem. I can't imagine any new to server player being able to kick it off with a non-soloable class...

Get that char to 50-60 and build up the resources to twink a non-soloable class that could then solo up enough to find groups or pay for a plvl. I imagine this is why commercial games as they age have to make the initial ramp up easier and easier (and more solo-able) to not discourage new players from starting.

Fascinating! Would love to see playhours by class over the life of the server broken out by account cohorts... Data science nerd in me starting to come out... sorry...

I'd be interested in that too! Although, I've made alts where I refuse to twink the character and build it from scratch. I like to build groups and take them to crazy exp places like runny eye or split paw. Haven't done a permafrost group, but that sounds amazingly fun!

You should wait until about level 40 or so before going to LGuk.
