So my druid alt is lvl 24. I want to level up as fast as possible to 34 so I can start using the druid to group port and PL my buds and quad kite to level up further(suitable for semiafk leveling).
Myself I dont like playing spellcasters, so I have not tried out the animal charming method at all. I figure I gotta learn to do this since its the quickest way to solo untill quadding. This druid class seem to not get into groups every now and then by dildo group leaders so I want a solo option.
My questions:
They say Everfrost mammoths are not as good as before, also that zone is really secluded... Ive heard LoIO mentioned but that zone has a negative zem almost...
Where is the place to be for animal charming?
A decent twink setup(200 Wisdom) should make quad kiting available from level 34?

If you want to avoid EF and LOIO (which is still pretty good, in my experience, despite the ZEM), there are a few other options but none are as good, IMO. Griffons in EK/NK and elephants in SK come to mind.
Gators in the CT basement count as animals, if I remember correctly. It's probably riskier than the other places I mentioned and maybe not the best place to learn to charm, but it's great exp through the early 30s.

OT maybe possible as well. There is a lower level area there.

Charm and kill elephants in SK at level 24 until 28-29 and then you can do Mammoths in Everfrost until 32-33.

At 24 you should bind at Qeynos bank and kill gnolls in South Karana. Whenever you get one of the lore scrolls they drop occasionally, gate back, turn it in, gate to North Karana, and do again.
You will fly through the levels with those scrolls, all the way up to 40 if you push it.

Thanks for the tips - If I go to SK and charm the elephants, can I use em to kill Gnolls then?
I also have 1 - 4 of the paw scrolls, the best exp is turning in one at the time, not try and do the Gem Inlaid quest yes?

I'm sure you can but might be a waste of time. Just charm an elephant and let it fight another elephant. Once both get near death, break the charm and kill both for double the XP. Repeat this process.

I really hated charming in SK on my druid. There's a good spot north of aviak city where a couple elephants spawn, but it was too much tracking and not enough killing for me.. this was before the tracking change though. OT might get some sneers but there's tons of targets for 24-29 near the pond.
OT pond trash 24-29, EF Wooly mommas 29-32, Ancient croc from 32-35 was my route. With Velious out now I would've gone to IC at 34-39 and then EW from 39-52.
180-200wis is enough for quadding at 34, its not just something twinks can do. If you're on the lower end you just need to watch ticks and sit while running.

The splitpaw gnolls was mostly red con to a lvl 24. Turned in some old scrolls and the exp was really nice tho.
Agree on the elephants in SK, too few and too far between em, Ill try OT next time
Any other ideas?

Snow cougars in Iceclad you can do late 20s/early 30s. You might even be able to kill the Garou for a weapon quest / spells!

You're going to get mad resists on cougars before level 30, and they run really fast so you're going to take a lot of hits while trying to cast ensnare for the 6th time.
Make sure you bind at the docks.

I was surprised by their run speed when guarding these with my wizard with SOW potions. Was doing the snow dervishes there and started to add courses and not only did they resist my snare but they ran startlingly fast.
But having built in SOW and regen/heal mitigates a lot of wizard problems. I get druid envy a lot.

I remember doing some part of the 20s by charming a tiger and pulling sarnak out of the fort in I'll Omen . You can aggro kite them with flame lick (it's casts just out of range of the casters spells). Once they're low on health you can park em. Repeat for 2 or 3 more mobs, break charm, fear per, mini nuke each mob and recharm. It's like quadding before quadding was available and it's rather mana efficient.

This sounds pretty cool, thanks!
