Plane of Mischief Mobs

I was a mischief regular on Live (got there in late Velious) and then much later on EQMAC (yes I am mental) and there are some problems with pom. Some to do with questing, some to do with mobs.

Going to put the mob issues here.

1. All of the puppets hit for 400+. It seems they almost all hit for 400+ for max hit. This was only for Rallos. Next in power was Inny and Bristlebane hitting in the 300's. The tribunal did not hit for over 200, they were a team! All other puppets were somewhere around a 200 max hit, all with 32k hps. :)

2. Sniffles/Stomples. The spawn point is not exactly in the right place (should be centered) and the models are the wrong size. Sniffles should be an EW bunny and Stomples a rabbit the size of a skunk. This is a nitpick, but this is how it was.

3. Twenty Two, this guy was long gone by the time Velious was wrapping up. same with the other no-body mobs.

It's a shame that the old POM EZBOARD is gone to the world. Let me see if I can fire up the wayback machine and get the chronology of changes that were documented here. They will have to do with the quest bugs I need to enter as well. (e.g. the gift box quest)

There were a few nerfs/changes that it seems this iteration of PoM is at an in-between state relative to them.

Thanks for listening to me whine about my third PoM experience. Its my fault for not participating in the beta, I gave a ton of EQMAC zone data to 'someone' right as EQMAC was shutting down. To... someone??

Oh, the Hedge Maze is way over populated. There were only a couple places where you could get a two pull on live/mac.

There should be 1/3 rd the mobs that are currently in the maze.

Going to try to dig up my eqmac logs and attach it for max hits (puppets, stomples, etc) if I can.

Bizzznawa's max hit is too low at 112.

She's the under-con of the zone, with a max hit of 213-217 depending on her level when spawning.

OK I dug into my iMac, and found logs from 2013 on the internal drive.

Nothing there, even though it shows me logging into / out of mischief, there are no hits in that log. It makes sense though because I was using an external SSD when active on eqmac.

I never did apply enterprise data continuity methods to my EQ stuff, almost always I would just lose interest and save nothing for logs and screenies.

I did upload the proper logfile... somewhere , but it may have been to the defunct eqmac vbulliten board. I will try to dig though my posts on eqemu but this may be a dead end. I know the log was was offered as part of the TAKP effort when they were gathering data.

While these mob max hits are purely my anecdote, I can absolutely say for sure the max hit on the puppets and bizzznawa are correct (445 for Rallos, mid 300's for Inny and Bristlebane, 200ish for the others. Bizz, was -the- dire charm mob of the zone (luclin and above). We used to gently coax her all through the castle and into the theatre and womped on the puppets with her for hours and hours at a time.

So as big of a loser I may be, I am certain Bizz would quad 213's through 217's, depending on level when given weapons.

So take this for what it's worth, an anecdote unless I can find my old logs. Though one must admit this is quite the elaborate method to inform folks, there is no ill will here on my part. Just trying to set the record straight.

You will see a message about this board having no forums. That's fine, ignore it. You can can then get to the logs page linked above and upload your logs.

The General folder will be used if we need to collect a specific function and not necessarily a zone, such as using sense heading for instance.

The Chat folder I thought we could use to upload the results of /log in-game. When we get going, I do recommend everybody using /log while collecting/playing as that will contain tons of great data including con data, quest texts, items looted, spells cast, and after parsing NPC HP and damage.

Obviously, if anybody is concerned about security/wishes to remain anonymous but still wants to share data PM me and we will work something else out!

Erati, there were Druid dire charms that hit for quad high 100's, you were not out of the club! :D

With the Luclin power set pom was so much more fun. Best xp zone till pop came out. :)

The Tribunal Puppets are KoS to goodies. I am assuming they are social/assist as well here on p99.

This is not accurate, you can see it in the screenshots. They are not turned to attack me or Bizzznawa.

Rallos, Inny, and Solusek were definitely out to smack ya but that was it, at least for goodies. Maybe a baddie can chime on what faction they ran into.

Yea Tribunals assisting here makes them a lot tougher to engage since a summon puts you underneath 2-3 of their hit boxes.

Which wouldn't be that big a deal (relatively) when they only had a max hit of 165. 400+ is pretty lol and I am surprised no one caught this during beta. Once again, this is my fault. This isn't my first nerd rodeo.

Erati, there were Druid dire charms that hit for quad high 100's, you were not out of the club! :D

With the Luclin power set pom was so much more fun. Best xp zone till pop came out. :)

"as for cards the hardest ones to get are the thrones. only a couple mobs drop them and none are all that easy. though a decently outfit shaman with topor (or even with out) shouldnt have that much trouble. the best place for thrones is Stomples (giant rabbit that spawns when you kill sniffles. he is VERY tough, can triple for 355 and hits VERY fast even slowed). Stomples is the best bet for thrones. drops one (or two rarely) every 5 kills or so. had one streak of 35 with no thrones. he is on a 33 hour spawn timer and is up at server up."

Within one of your links there is also multiple confirmations that a Words of Wealth + Top Left words of wealth will create funny money that can be used for obtaining the gift boxes. If we're relying on this evidence, should that change be made as well?

at 60+ with torpor the aiw4 part is doable , not that good xp but still xp , all mobs can drop thrones , and you can farm book pages for WoW and funnies "


Additionally, there are many other posts in the BUGS forums on project 1999 with more evidence to show that gift boxes can be made without the cards and solely from Words of Wealth + Top Left.

Relative to a normal sized rabbit, that is giant: real life rabbits aren't the size of halflings ... not even shrunken ones :)

Not sure if this was mentioned before but the hobbits in picture room (one where sniffles spawns) are currently not able to attack using pets.. the pets just try to run into the wall and never attack doobis etc. used to be able to kill them and they dropped crown more than any mob i have seen in PoM.

I spent 100s and 100s of hours in PoM and p99. best zone in the game but wish there was more content for it =)
