Happy 4th to all.
Just in the case someone has an answer, I just built my first pc in years with Windows 10 and have Titanium on CDs. I run Setup.exe and the cd whirls but the within seconds I just get the picture I've attached here. Error -6005.
I spent about an hour searching the forums for install errors and searched for error -6005 and have come up empty. Anyone else have this issue in the past and have resolved it?

I've not experienced this issue before, however are you able to copy the contents of CD1 to a folder on the hard drive and run setup from there?

Physical CDs or .iso files? Can you try to copy them to a totally different location? Do you have a 2nd PC you can try the copy on?

originally iso, then i burned it to a cd. My secondary is a Surface Pro, out of luck on that I think.

Are you able to install via .iso to the surface pro? if so can you then copy the EQ folder from that surface pro to the new Win10 machine?

that's a great idea, I'll figure out how. So basically the EQ install is just a file transfer all local to the folder it creates?

You say it happens as soon as you put disk in? You havent told it where to install EQ or anything yet?

I haven't touched win10 much.
Is there an option run it in compatability mode or run win 10 as an older mode?

I'm assuming you've updated all the drivers and whatnot on the new pc? Do other CDs work? Can you install anything?

Have you considered using a different CD drive?

Try installing something else with that CD drive to make sure it's not a bad drive.
Next copy the ISOs to a flash and try to mount and install from that.
Lastly if that doesn't work copy your friends install to a flash drive and move to over the new computer.

Thank you for all the tips, the cd drive was ok as I was able to install other programs. I got a little frustrated, went out and bought another PC and EQ just installed like a champ. Now I'm off to do all the fun things to get online with you guys.
