Been away for a while - new server anytime soon??

I have been away from P99 for a while and was curious if there was any new information on a new-server/re-boot starting any time soon? I seem to recall it was being discussed a while back.

People who want a fresh start rather than twinking each new character more than they twinked their previous twinks.

Characters will be twinked to the gills within a month. Lol.

What exactly is the point of a new server? People with a moderate amount to a ton of time invested on the current server won't want to lose all of their progress.

The only reason I can see to start on a potentially new server is

A) you're a (probably former IB, etc) neckbeard who has already quit the current blue server and is going to play 24/7 and race to control content
B) you're literally brand new and haven't gotten above 20 on the current blue server

It's not going to be fun playing with group A, and group B has nothing to gain by choosing a new server over the old server where the price on good low level twink items (ex Wu's staff) are already hilariously cheap.

Did no one play past level 20 on red when the server launched? It was literally Lovely, Holocaust, etc. playing 24/7 locking down every single camp of importance. It absolutely sucked for truly new players, and that was with the ability to actually kill the people at the camp. Imagine IB locking down guise literally every second of the day with no ability to pvp them for 3 months straight.

My point was that it wouldn't be that fun though. I even listed some reasons why I think so. In my post. I listed them. I even bullet pointed them so you wouldn't miss them.

EQ isn't d2 ladder. It's a game where people with ungodly amounts of time on their hands can dominate everything. This point is exacerbated on brand new servers. Case in point, red.

We were more or less told to expect Blue having special custom content once the server is complete with the last pre Luclin patch when Stonebrunt is in. I'm pretty happy to stick around and see what they have in mind. Veksar and Jaggedpine are my two bets of what's to come.
