Can someone please explain this term to me?

I took a 6 moth break and upon my return i have seen people from tempest using this term quite often on the forums.

It is my understanding that empire disband after waking the sleeper.

However, based on this term being thrown around one would be lead to believe tempest was beating empire in pvp and winning mobs over empire, causing empire players to join tempest leading to the inevitable break up of the guild empire.

i have a hard time believing the ladder, as tempest seems much worse in pvp and pve from what i have seen.

can someone please clear this up for me?

we (empire leadership) literally got bored and quit; there was nothing to do, tempest was a 30 man guild who couldn't kill a single of the velious raid mobs that we left up for upwards of a week on a regular basis

i think they technically "won" a pvp fight over fear golems on a night where we told people we wouldn't be contesting several weeks before we disbanded, because we simply didn't care to show up to 3 AM golems on a weeknight

sektor has been parroting this phrase as some weird way to infuriate me since it was an effective and often used line by myself to the server's losers aka the tempest/friends/azrael/etc. crews

i suppose sektor is doing it because we let him into empire in our final month as a guild out of pity after 7 months of begging, and during this time he was constantly harassed and/or killed on raids

every single day he would complain to one of the officers about how x member is treating him poorly, to which we would usually reply, "when you spend years building up a certain reputation for yourself, you can't be surprised or mad when people treat you accordingly"

so basically, he spent an entire month with 100% raid attendance under those conditions and only got one or two very shitty temple of veeshan items that no one even wanted for an alt

tl;dr we got bored of everquest and disbanded the night we woke the sleeper and most of us don't play this game anymore, people are still mad about it though

dumb comment, we routinely left mobs up overnight whenever they got anywhere past 10-11 PM EST; the only time we would kill things at that hour is when your friends would show up on the announcement that we wouldn't be there

other than strut ninja looting yelinak that one time, can you explain how the "pixel flow" was interrupted? our raid schedule didn't change whatsoever and every mob that we were regularly killing still died up until the day we disbanded the guild

Empire lost because they quit the game, being unable to complete the game.

Quitting before you win is losing. Hence they lost.
