How easy/hard is it to get random MM folks to chip in for a BD kill?
I'm an unguilded L40, so other than joining a guild, how viable is this?

Even if you combined all of MM group you wouldn't have a chance. You just need to make some friends with higher toons. Good tank and cleric. Good bard and wizard . Or just wait for people to see this thread and offer help.

When is your play time?

Or just wait for people to see this thread and offer help. When is your play time?Well, I DO remember how tough he was, back in the day. My reference wasn't so much about the rank-and-file MM-dwellers as the scattered 55+ buffers/rezzers you see in the zone oft-times. But yeah, I see your point and agree with it.

Playtimes: 9pm-12am EST most nights generally.

Put up your play schedule and people will flock to the thread. It's one of the easier / not so easier parts for the epic.

OK, thanks for the advice. I'm aiming to get at least through 40 in CoM before arranging something like this in MM. Thanks again.

Did you get this handled? If not, what's your IGN? I should be on tonight after 9pm EST. I have like 5 50+ toons now so I can bring whatever. I don't have anything that can solo him but I can probably duo it with someone also in their 50s.

60 tank with 2 or 3 good DPS and Cleric is all you need for this fight. I did mine with a 60 war and 60 cleric.

I'll keep you all posted. It might happen either tonight (9-10 EST) or tomorrow as a backup, depending on mob availability. Didn't quite ding 41 last night, but am close enough.

My char name is "Bruuk".

Ok. FYI mob availability shouldn't be an issue. Killing the Advisor inside the castle trigger's BD's spawn. So unless Advisor isn't up for some reason you should be ok.

By the way:

Really impressed with the positive responses so far... wasn't really coming here looking for volunteers, but I'm blown away by how helpful people are and won't turn down the help. I'll keep you posted.

he can be done pretty easily with a 60 healer / tank combo, if you lack raw power but have some debuffs he can be slowed which makes it rather simple also

Can also be soloed (kiting) by a 60 shammy if you can find one willing.

I helped my friend with this fight. We had a 55-57 monk, 52 rogue, 51 shaman, a 50 cleric, and a 60 enchanter.
Cleric never had to heal. Shaman buffed and sent pet in. Enchanter buffed and tried forever to land slow (towards the end of the fight). Mainly it was the monk and rogue duoing with buffs (neither of which had epics).

When I did the fight with my shaman, a 60 mage pet soloed him pretty much.

He's a belly caster so if you want to land spells gotta be in his face.

Gonna get a port to GF now and head to MM and see if he's up. Will post here in a few moments if so.

Update: Probably due to server reboot, but the Blood Wolves are up but no Black Dire... likely not much action in MM yet, so Advisor likely still up.

Another group with the firepower to hit advisor and dire took him out. Kudos to Inok! I'll try tomorrow night. Got 41, at least!

Friday: Sat around for two hours... advisor never spawned.

Saturday: LOL, logged in tonight to find an epic shaman and mage killing dire (after popping it with advisor kill) for their SK friend who needed true spirit faction for his epic quest (They share faction? That's annoying).

I'll keep trying.

I'm told "an advisor" is on track in MM... my group will try to down him.
Will be needing help shortly, if this works!

OK, dire is up, though i managed to kill 5 people and myself doing it.
Not my proudest moment. Anyone available?

If so, give "bruuk" a tell in-game

Turns out I probably (to be safest) should use the same OP group for Advisor as for BD. :D

Many apologies were made and thankfully our group had a click-cleric alt at the ZL for damage control.

I stuck around and got a bub of buffer XP into 41, but it's probably best if I return to CoM and XP up a few levels before trying again, at least to where I can pull advisor relatively safely.

It's annoying that BD de-pops after 30 minutes or so, though... He was there when I got rezed back into zone, but gone a few minutes later.

Advisor is up in MM now. Anyone feel like forming an Advisor/BD group?

Hit up "bruuk" in game.

Update: Just got my pelt, thanks to:

Sumguy (SK) <Kittens Who Say Meow>

OptionB (Cleric) <Fear the Ungodly>

Thanks a ton, guys, for coming all the way from the commons!
