Hallo,
I recently started an sk and I have heard a bit about pet pulling but I'm a little confused on how it is useful.
Why would I pull with my pet instead of just pulling with disease cloud?
Won't my pet, being so low level, just die super quick and I'll keep having to resummon?
Does your pet fd when you fd?
What situations is pet pulling used for?
Thanks a ton for any info.

its all situational, it is not used for every kind of pulling. it is used for things like Chardok proxy pulling, for times you want to pull a lot of mobs all at once but need a large head start past the mobs.
in more common situations it is a way to pull a mob when you want to pull an easy single mob when you are still medding. so it will give you a few extra tics to get more mana. of course you call the pet back after they agro so it wont die. eventually higher end pets can take some damage.

Got a doubt on this, but from what I remember, if your pet is out of combat when you fd, he wll be indiff to mobs.
Situations where pet pull can be nice, even if it dies:
- mob HarmTouches, pet will eat it
- mob is a caster and you don't want it to cast on you on pull, you can send pet while you are out of Line of Sight
- trains in zones you are not KoS as mentionned above

On live (Luclin / PoP era) pet pulling was a great way to single pull a target out of a group of mobs. I played a Necro and for those difficult pulls I would get my pet buffed (hps and SoW usually), FD myself a distance away, then send the pet in. Once he had engaged the mob, back him off and only the mob he had attacked would be coming. Once that mob was out of range of the others, I'd pop up and take agro from the pet.
I don't play a pet class so I can't verify if it works here.
