New EQ player need help

I am a new player and I have no idea what I am doing. I am currently a level 4 dwarf paladin and I accidentally fell into some water in the dwarf city and can't get my stuff back. If anyone can help me message me in game @Trickydicky

This may be a "did you turn it on and off?" response, but do you mean you can't get to your corpse to loot it? If so, just get close and type /corpse, it will drag the body to you if you're within a certain range.

he may need a run down of the basic commands or how to move in water.
swimming is not too hard in the game if you use your mouse for looking. look upward as you move forward to jump out of the water.
