I still had tons of fun. The pvp token exploit scenario wasn't really that much of a big deal. I started on zek when everyone was already 40 and geared. I got all of my pvp gear within a few days of playing and I'm a pretty shitty pvper.

I've heard that MQ was in use there, but I personally never encounted anyone who I felt was hacking.

Overall, it was a blast and I'm fairly confident most who played there would say the same.

Bring on Season 2!

Would be better with twice the numbers obviously but it was way more fun than it had any right to be and I see it improving with each iteration. Very little drama or bullshit, the token handin shit a blip on the radar.

If you're on the fence theres no reason to listen to sadsacks like silo32 when you could instead just play on a good box and have a good time.

Only reason I'd ever come back to red99 would be if Discord went live or the implemented real itemloot and restarted the server, and I didn't expect shit going into the eqpvp zek server.

I had a blast playing on the server.

The classes were too imbalanced which was my major issue, and there is no PVE, or scripted PVP content for end-game in which to keep people engaged, so the server died out.

Season 2 there will be much more balance, and hopefully different dynamics to keep people playing longer, I think they have a shit load of potential on their hands (the devs) and if they handle the server correctly could have something really special.

Shrug the box was fun at the lvl 20 and 30 caps before there were non stop trains by monks, devnoobs pals hacking AND exploiting, and then others getting the ban hammer for using the same exploit he put in there for his buddies who ended up having big ass mouths hence people finding out and abusing it also. Server population literally went from 120-140 with boxing to about 50-60 with boxing and 35 of those in nexus afk in about 2 weeks due to all this shit and it literally happens EVERY. SINGLE. DEVNOOB. SERVER

^^ the bone chip/ticket exploit was seriously not that big a deal and did not have a serious impact on the server pop outside of like a 1-week window. Hacking has been less of a problem on this box than on any I've played on (outside of probably red99) and is way better than live ever was. And exploits were pretty regularly fixed or altered to make the server more fun and less breakable. The work done to make that place fun is real and I don't have a stake in devnoobs private bs

Tallboys sorely missed in the second half of the season. Goog times, came to fight and brought the heat always.

Van repped hard. But when I saw Tallboys in force I knew I could take my guys and go collide anytime. Box wasn't the same when Tallboys were offline.

The Zek server allowed me to actually compete and have a chance so I could learn some PvP basics. The leveling process was some of the most fun I've ever had in EQ. The battles between TALLBOYS and Dava Donkeys in Gfay were a ton of fun.

Dentists just played at weird times, doesn't mean they weren't pvping, they had at least 3-4 characters in top 10. Tallboys/Dava's did a good percentage of each days pvp though. The bonechip exploit was whatever since when it was exposed most active pvpers had 90% of their shit anyways.
