Vita Infinita has been (sort of) reborn on the P99 server. Once we were a large, casual friendly raid guild on the Lanys T'Vyl server and cleared all content through PoP and about 25% of GoD expansions before moving on to other games (EQ2 and WoW). We were known for being helpful and inclusive and tried to help people progress in the game whether it was raid content or epic weapons/quests. Now we're just a handful of people scrounging for bone chips and extra plat and that's OK. The challenge of starting over is what this is all about. Initially we were just going to join another guild but many have min levels to join and we wanted to start forging those connections immediately that help to facilitate good groups, assistance and social interactions.

IAQ (Infrequently Asked Questions)

What can you expect?
We are a 100% pure leveling guild made up of leveling characters who want to form groups, hit dungeons, help each other out and have fun struggling through the lower levels of the game. We have *no* high level players so don't expect plat or items to be readily available to you from anyone. You can expect friendly guild chat/voice chat and assistance to the extent that it's feasible and available. You want classic? This will be classic leveling with little help from anyone outside of other lowbies leveling with you. Likely no power-leveling or twinking to be found here. However, sharing/trading of items between guildies to help each other out is strongly encouraged.

Who are we?
Just a couple people from the original live guild (I was co-founding GL). We have lots of previous EQ experience but it's been a long time so.. a lot needs to be relearned! We also have extensive MMO experience from most MMOs since EQ (too many to list). Our guild back on live was known for being helpful to others and had a good reputation. We allowed people outside of guild to tag along on our raids and we frequently helped guildies and non-guildies alike with epic weapon kills. Although we are not in a position to do those things now I hope that the same level of helpfulness will apply on a much smaller scale.

What is our goal?
Technically we are waiting for the spiritual successor to EQ (Pantheon) but that won't be out until next year sometime. Given that most modern MMOs are severely lacking in the type of depth that we want from an MMO we are revisiting our EQ past in the form of P99 while we wait. Most of us will likely be moving to Pantheon when the time comes but our hope is that we can build a good group of players here (even if small) that can move seamlessly into Pantheon later (we will likely have a good number coming from other games as well). A solid group of players that know how to play together and all start at the same time will make starting out in Pantheon that much better.

As for our goals on P99 we are looking to just have fun and see how far we can get into the game. We are in no rush to get to end game or max level. Our focus will be hitting dungeons for XP and items and quests. We are very small and don't mind staying small but would love to add more people to improve our pool of players to do regular groups with. If you are in a guild or have other commitments that prevent you from joining another guild feel free to contact us anyway. We can still add you to our list of friends for grouping. Always good to have more people to group with even from outside of guild.

Who are we looking for?
Primarily other lowbies that are looking for people to group with even if they are too low to join other guilds. We won't hold any grudges if you only join until you get high enough to join another guild. We just want to help facilitate the leveling process for everyone in guild for as long as they want to stay and hopefully in the process make some new friends. We are currently focused on the FoB area and are mostly in our teens level-wise so Iksars or other wayward races in that area and around those levels would be ideal. That being said we are happy to accept anyone in any region and of any level or class. We do have plans to play other areas like Neriak/Freeport/Rivervale.

Are there any rules?
Not really. The standard "no douche-baggery" clause applies (ks'ing, training, ninja-looting, being an asshat etc..). It's fine if your main is in another guild. It's fine if you only stay temporarily. We hope you will stay long term but no long term commitment required. It's also fine if you are not really of similar level or in another region and just want some guild chat while you level. Standard NBG rules will always apply.

@Freakish - Oh yeah. I remember ROTA. I think our guilds got along pretty well. Many in Vita had friends in Riders so there was frequent grouping and cooperation among our guilds.

@Nuggie - I remember ML as well. I think we had less interaction with you but I recall ML being a smaller but quality guild.

Always glad to see other Lanys peps running around in any MMOs (I run into them regularly) and especially back in EQ.

Back on point..we added a couple more peps to the leveling machine today including a wayward bard traveling the shores of LOIO. Another brave soul decided to run a lvl 1 Ogre SK to FoB to join us but met a horrible fate at the doorstep of Cabalis before getting a bind and guild invite. We *will* get you bound so you can live out your young Ogre life as an Iksar! I swear it by the old gods and the new! Still LFM. Any other adventurous souls looking for a leveling guild?

Nope. Don't mind at all and thanks for thinking of us. We have a good little group of leveling players (mostly in the 20's now but also a couple in the 30's and teens). Many of us already have alts as well so should be a good mix of different low level characters to play with. Can always use a few more good peps to add to the roster for more group options and class diversity. :D

Hey, I'm new to the game. I've rolled a Dwarf Cleric as I mainly play a healer in most games. I am currently level 5 doing the Bone Chips quest in Kaladim. I would love to get in on some group action. This is probably the only leveling guild I have seen (started two days ago).

I'm not sure what levels the majority of you are now, but I would love to join on my Lvl.12 enchanter Vondrak... My play time is quite limited, and although I don't mind soloing, i'd much rather spend it grouping with others.

This is my first time on P99, and my first run through as an Enchanter; My main was a Shammy way back when, and have since played pretty much every class ( but on current live, it's a completely different game).

I'm also looking forward to Pantheon, so it would be great to meet some like-minded people before the game releases.

I live in England, but my play time is all over the shop; trying to juggle my obsessive hobby with a three year old & working shifts means most of my "serious" play time tends to be during EST evening hours... What could possibly go wrong with a knackered chanter in your groups!

i think vita is supposed to be Vitae? correct me if wrong. Assuming it's latin for Infinite Life/Vitality, if thats the case Vitae should be correct but my knowledge of latin exists solely from songs in Choir lol

You can no longer purchase it by legit means. Considering you already purchased EQ before (obviously) you could find other means. I think most people sail through the bay of the pirates. ;)

When I played on live, fifteen-ish years ago, I took a necro, wizard, mage, and cleric to level cap. The Wizard had the most AA points, and I had a lot of fun with him raiding. However, the Necro was my favorite overall class. On Live I was in guilds like: Ancient Council of Shadows (Vallon Zek), Myth and Legends (Brell Serellis), Die Ringtrager (Stormhammer).

This guild appeals to me because I want to be in a guild where I'm friends with the people in it. I also would like to be part of a guild that will be playing in Pantheon.

We have more people hitting or nearing 50 every day. We got one group of guildies Seb keys tonight in preparation for some Seb fun in the not too distant future. Though 2 of the people who just hit 50 are clerics so that doesn't help much for your grouping if you planned to play your cleric.

I have a cleric and shaman (65) on CZ on EQ, stopped playing awhile ago. I was in a guild that raided frequently and would like to do so again. I decided to try this out because I missed the original game so much, I love it! I'm finding it tough to find quality people to group with. I'm still pretty low but, leveling both a cleric and shaman. I'd like to talk to someone in game if you guys are up to some youngens joining? Howdy. Trademaster here. Lived on Brell, Live, and started up here a couple of years back, but have since lost my initial account. (doh!) So, now I have a whole new me, With a warrior (Meese) L10, and magician (Gnexis) L7. Magicians I know real well, but warriors are a whole new play style that I have yet to master. I would love to grow and learn with your group.

And I can toooooootaly help with your bone chip collecting. I'll try to hop on this evening and look for someone on Discord if that's okay.

Oh, and I've never hunted dragons (or completed any other end game content), I would love to hunt a dragon some time. (in about 40 levels or so)

Great to have you back in guild Danjer! We been having a lot of fun. We also just got Druthu back playing and may have other Vita coming as well. We keep getting more old Vita and Lanys from Live joining us and leveling up and also adding some other great people to the guild.

In related news..Vita lead it's first Hate raid last week and it went even better than expected so we are likely to start doing more of that. We have also started hitting Kael Arena for armor and will be doing that regularly from now on.

In other exciting news, we've gotten our first guild epic completed, with more likely to be done soon. With the help of some friends, Ragefire gave it up and now Ghrumps is the proud new owner of a water sprinkler.

We do a lot of grouping together in Vita. There isn't a night that goes by that some of us aren't doing something or other together, be it leveling groups, farming, raiding, or keying runs, so if you'd like a chance to get to know us, feel free to hit up someone in your level range, and ask to get in on the action!

Well - maybe don't ask about getting some action with this bunch - you might get more than you bargained for ;)

Moe got Ixiblat Fer last week and now just needs RF for our second guild cleric epic. I'm close to finishing my Monk epic as well. As Moerne stated above we do a lot of grouping together so if doing dungeons and light raiding with friends appeals to you find us in game for a group or a guild invite. The reason I ask is that I am a recent returner to EQ, utterly charmed by P99, and I doubt I'll want to suddenly move to Pantheon. I would have some hesitation in applying to a guild that will be leaderless and empty in a few months.

I noticed recently it was the 18 year anniversary of EQ and thought about going for the free 85 heroic character just to mess around here and there.

I have been just looking up old pics and videos and reminiscing of old school EQ...

Being Kaalan in Vita, and a lot of memories I had playing for as long as I did in my teens. I had way more memories in this game then any other.

I ended up searching Vita and bam found this... Huge wave of nostalgia is hitting me right now holy crap!

I have recently seen that it was EQ's 18th anniversary and noticed they have a free 85 heroic option. I have been thinking about going on there and messing around and looking at some old zones.

I ended up googling Vita and bam found this! Brought back a lot of memories and the nostalgia is hitting me like a ton of bricks!

Crazy to think I was a teenager when I played this game back in the day literally like 22 hrs a day...insane. I couldnt even imagine doing that these days!

Good to see familiar faces on here...The only person that really has kept in constant contact with me IRL is Evilundead (the evil ganome!) and I was telling him we should get on and mess around lol

Hello all, I just started on p99 this past week. I played live from 2000-2008, mained a rogue with shadowknight and mage alts. I just recently tried to go back to live on the progression servers but felt that the many changes even on prog servers had made it a different experience than I was looking for. Got p99 going and I'm enjoying it. My iksar necromancer is up to level 10 so far and I've been looking for a casual leveling guild to just hang out with while I'm online. Hey man. Always good seeing old Lanys people. Those were definitely the good old days of MMOs. We had a good number of old Vita and Lanys people here for a while.

To the last few posters and future posters interested in joining..I would be doing you a disservice inviting you into the guild at this point as the activity level of guild is too low to sustain a healthy or fun atmosphere and I may not be around much going forward. I might suggest looking at <Kittens Who Say Meow> for a more active guild experience that is friendly to returning/leveling players. I think their min level to join is 15.
