Hi sorry if this is a common bug but i have searched this forum and the net and havnt found an answer yet.

For about a week now my Char wont melee auto attack for some reason, also mobs health dont update either so they are often showing full health even though my dots are hitting them and they die.

Didnt want to waste a petition encase im doing something stupid but any help would be appreciated if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks

There is no such thing as wasting a petition, this bug is prevalent and common.

As a temporary fix, when you notice this happening, simply drop your target and retarget the mob or player.

thanks for the reply :) i wasn't sure if it was just an error on my side that could be fixed without taking up a GMs time. Ill wait out a little longer here and if still no look ill make a petition.

Usually caused by multiple strings in your auto attack key. Do 1, attack on, do 2 etc. Or caused by multiple keys bound do turning auto attack on. Check you only have 1 keybind. Drag a fresh and simple "autoattack" from your combat abilities and use only that. If problem persists make a new hot key simply called attack and use only line 1, /attack on

I'm guessing your hot key is bound to kick etc, change the string and make new strings in a different order till it works.

You can usually fix this mid fight by pressing escape to clear target and re-targetting

im not using a macro at all, F is my auto attack key and that is it. also any ideas about the mobs health not updating? it kind of the same the only way it updates is if i escape on reselect the mob so im guessing the same issue causes both.

thanks btw

Check keybinds make sure F isn't also bound to something else un-noticed. Try to initiate attack using a different key or just typing /attack on to see if you can get a different response

It could be what your using to cycle targets. Using tab bound to multiple things etc. It might not be an attack issue and instead a target issue following the same rules posted above try to fix it

Please link them here because I am having trouble finding them.

I also am having this same problem, but I do not use a macro and I've everything suggested so far.

And yes, I have /petitioned already, but I'd like to help myself if I can.

Thanks,
