The Hole key

Hey all, I was thinking of buying the Hole key in Painell but I have read that only evil races can purchase it.
My character is a dwarf, can I purchase the key or I will be KoS there ?

If you aint go it you can turn yourself around.
A. Get faction
B. Have someone else open it.

You're KoS there unless you butchered Erudin or Warrens, but there are a few ways to speed up the process.

If you have a friend w/ an alliance neck, borrow it! Then get a necro friend to nuke you nearish the key vendor if you're faction is still a tad too low.

You'd probably still have lots of killing in Erudin or Warrens either way but less with faction / illusion help

Ok 2 last questions :
- as a 50 SK what is faster to raise factions ( kill guards in Erudin or stuff in Warrens)
- if someone opens the door to the Hole for u, can u still get out without key?

You can't open the door from either side without a key.
Getting a key is easy, though. Butcher kobolds in the Warrens. At level 50, you can pull hordes of them and just murder them all. Shouldn't take but a few hours.

Also, you said you are a dwarf, and then reference an SK. That would be a sweet combo! :)

If you want to "cheat", you can bring a necro with you and have him let you in to the city. Go to the merchant and duel the necro. Once he casts ignite bones on you, you are well liked in Paineel for like 18 seconds. Then you can buy the key.

i factioned in the warrens for mine. you need amiable to get the key to the elevator. but less than that to purchase a hole key from the vender.

killing in the warrens also makes you non kos with the erudin guards too, not that makes any difference for an evil race like me but i think it is interesting i can enter erudin as a troll sk lol.

I remember you posting a good way to get into the hole or even get the key for the hole as a good race, I can't remember exactly. I can't seem to find the post. Mind explaining again?

Ingredients:-

1 necro friend with a Paineel key
110pp
cleric buffs if you're lowish level

Get the necro to work the lift, then head down to the key vendor who is nearish the bank...duel the necro, get him to skellie nuke you. Suddenly the vendors will sell to you while the skellie illusion is on :p

That's all there is to it. Any race/class can get one, just needs a necro to nuke them :p

Better than making a hole key character and hoping someone else has one too so you can let each other in lol.

Took me just over an hour of killing sentinels in Erudin/docks/palace to get to kindly (From scowling), which is higher than needed, all green at 54.

but naw what sploits can you do with this? Surely you cannot get an overthere hammer with it for example, correct?

You're a dwarf and can swim in np.

Barring that get A necro to cast ignite bones near the merchant and use the 18 seconds as a skele to buy the key.

Alliance neck if still too low.

No you won't get amiable or above to get an OT hammer with it... but a necro can charm him etc.

Should give the same effect to improve faction slightly, but depending on your deity choice it might not be enough.

Example: Erollisi Marr bard with AoN illusion... unlikely welcome :p

A good measuring stick is what the guards /con outside.

At least we have the Warrens now to be able to grind it up easier.
