Thinking of rolling a char on blue. What is the best class to do as little as possible on raids while sometimes still getting awarded some lewts?

Hm, what is the point of getting loot on any given class if you are only looking to AFK on raids? Are you not passionate about playing that class? Or is it just the "other people awarding me loot" that you find satisfying?

I'd say maybe a shadow knight. There will probably be other offtanks, so you can probably often AFK; you have no buffs to offer others; and when you do get loot, you can eventually solo a lot of mobs on that SK. Mobster on Red is able to solo Tranix and more.

wizard maybe? be sure to go /role so they don't ask you for tl boxes.

I just find raiding usually excruciatingly boring.

I was thinking SK too.

Bard - Put on mana song near the clerics and AFK all you want and literally no one will notice.

Source - plays Bard sometimes

EDIT: If you are melee and not meleeing people will notice. If you are a wizard there will be times when you need to port and TL people. Druids, Enchanters, and Shamans get tells to buff constantly, Necros need to twitch, Mages need to...well they are a good AFK class also unless your COTHing. The thing is all a Bard is really expected to do is occlusion of sound a mob sometimes and then sing regen songs. You AFKing is still technically fulfilling your role.

The reality is most people don't do a lot on raids - even the tanks get breaks when discs are down and a new tank steps in. Monk and Rogue are probably the most "active" because you need them DPSing at all times and pulling

SKs can cast Resist Cold! That's not bad in TOV.

In VP, you'll get called out (along with Necros) often by name to do a trainup. So don't recommend AFKing in VP :)

Bard all the way. But if you die while afk and you get a Rez box and don't take it they will know and eventually you will get the boot.

Druids are worth a mention.

So....here's a thought. Don't raid. Problem solved....

But he wants to get all the good cool loot without doing any of the work. ;)

I really want to know, though. Why do you want raid loot?

Roll a wizard and start a guild. I knew someone that did that on live *snoutpawlm*

sk is good, all you gotta do is get buffs and be ready to melee when mobs come in

can tab out and do other stuff in the meantime

I have a raid wiz and raid rogue and both make good toons for easy mode. The wizard will get called upon to TL and port though which is a real chore especially as most guildies are even lazier than me and cant be bothered to tip 50pp to a dial a dude at OT ramp , forcing me to hammer off mobs or sit and med doing shuttle runs even after a raid has started.
The rogue can afk anywhere due to only named raid bosses (and not all for that matter) seeing sneak hide. If you afk too hard on a wiz something will end up murdering you - doesnt happen on rogue.
As long as you arent one of those try-hard rogues who end up eating an enrage or riposte youll be near top of the dps parses for minimal effort(just use your evade macro and dont be a tool and turn the mob)
Youll then get showered in loot for using auto attack , backstab and evade.

SK is the best. Zero buffs to offer unless the druids in your guild are bad, the 18th choice to offtank, can FD inside a wall and no one will notice you or even go looking for you for above reasons.

Bard for sure. Literally the times on raids i've asked to do something ended up in being told to do regen songs or some MR song. You don't even have to be good at twisting; just play the 55 song and afk.

But there is a risk that you might be asked to twist 2 songs or sing a different one. An SK can hide inside a wall and go completely unnoticed with a GINA alert for DKP bidding.

A rogue can hide anywhere in the zone. Just be somewhere where you know no one will come across you.

Then just alt-tab and watch some Thomas episodes / movies.

You can't really get away with straight AFK long term. You can get GINA to tell you when you get tells -- so for shaman // enchanter its easy to afk for long periods of time if you come back when you get buff tells.

Druid is probably the best bet, because they have no hard roll and they are asked for buffs the least.

it was 100% wizard until damn TL was put in...now its CONSTANTLY "hey danceparty, can you TL me please" or "TL BOX NOW" ...so hard to afk/netflix on a raid with that shit going on. i suggest roll a shaman and stay at lvl 59...no focus, no torpor, no problem. you'll be left alone indefinitely.
