Made it to level 20 - Brand new to EQ

Just wanted to say it took me 3 weeks and a lot of deaths, but last night I finally made it to level 20 as an Iksar Necromancer. Kurn's tower was a lot of fun, but boy was I ready to leave.

I've managed to make just enough platinum to get my level 20 spells and am having a blast. Where would you guys recommend going now? I'm parked in Warslik Woods now and was killing goblins and Iksar and it's been going decently, but a bit slow.

Mostly just wanted to introduce myself since I never made an intro post. Bored at work. :)

Just did the same Kurn's grind a few weeks ago. My advice? Ride Kurn's to 22 at least. The xp and money to be made there is fantastic even still. If you're bored though maybe try giants in ww. Of course as a necro you might have a faster kill rate at giants than I did.

If you want to stay in kunark, Lake of ill omen is a nice zone for you, but WW is good as well. Lots of people do unrest or mistmoore in the 20ties, but that sometimes leads to overcrowded zones. For a bit less traffic you can go to the karanas. Especially east karana is nice in the low 20ties.

WW Giant Fort is rough at 20 without a group. You can do Lake of Ill Omen for a few more levels. Alternatively, leveling in the old world is generally a lot easier and more plat rewards in my experience.

you can solo in the Overthere near WW zone line; there are mobs close to lvl 20 there. i was soloing with my necro there. If you seek grouping with other people id suggest leave Kunark and travel to Mistmoore or Unrest.

Just popping in to say that with Ozzer's help, I've made it to level 21 and farmed up close to 500pp. Really want a paladin or enchanter as my eventual main and plan on using the necro to farm. Which class works better twinked out and what's a realistic amount of plat to spend on either class?

Enchanter by far..and honestly enchanter pretty close to necro at farming if not better...

Play whichever class you will have more fun playing with, dont worry so much about what is needed to twink them with because if the cheaper option turned out to give you less enjoyment then it isn't worth making it your main. Both options are completely different play styles, so i don't know if you prefer a tank melee or a support pure spell caster.

maybe make one of each and level both to 10 and see what you are having more fun playing with
