I'm not sure if this was just a coding error on the Devs part and got fixed but I just was curious if this will be forever patched out or was just fixed. We rely on it for low level succors and it has been a handy tool. Is this something we can look forward to getting fixed again or out for good.
Thanks,

It appears that "ghetto succor" was a bug that only happened with the WL port. And not only did it send you to the zone safe spot, but it also royally fucked your interface forcing you to /q.
http://www.graffe.com/forums/showthread.php?1609-WL-portal-bug
- You group as normal and cast the GD or CS or WL port and because you don't have your tooth on ya they go and you stay there to continue killing.
- The problems is with the WL one. It gives me the message that the zone i'm trying to go to is closed and i'm being moved to the zone safe spot. Which is in the valley near the spires. The rest of the people with their tooth on them goes to the WL no problem.
- Half the time it works without locking up my controls. It's very annoying because if it moves your to a place not near a zone point you are force to /q out of the game to fix the problem
- As i understood it, casting or having a Velious TP on you while you do not have the tooth should TP you to the Zone safe point and lock your controls, forcing you to camp out. This is to stop you abusing the spells as a poor mans evacuate. (which is level 57)
- You can't even camp, you are totally shut out of the EQ interface besides enter and /q =P

Now they don't go anywhere. I tested this after I found out. It doesn't work in new world or old world.
So I would assume they figured out the issue that Verant didn't because Verant was working on Luclin which was going to use the spires so porting was going to be a thing of the past?? Assumptions.
I would like to know though because it wasn't posted in the patch notes about being fixed or even on the radar to be fixed unless someone long ago filed a exploit and they considered it one.

Behavior on P99 as of today:
[Wed Apr 27 14:36:39 2016] You begin casting Wakening Lands Portal.
[Wed Apr 27 14:36:55 2016] You are missing some required components.
[Wed Apr 27 14:36:55 2016] You are missing Tooth of the Wakening Lands.
[Wed Apr 27 14:36:55 2016] Your spell is interrupted.
-------
The classic fix needed is to allow the spell to continue casting, teleporting anyone in the group with a tooth. If the wizard or anyone else lacks a tooth it should either a) leave them standing in place or b) send them to the zone's safe spot and bug their interface, requiring them to /q.
It's unclear what caused the bugged ghetto succor effect to trigger. Possibilities are:
-It only happened to the wizard or druid casting the spell,
-It only happened when you used the WL port.
-It just happened randomly.

I didn't have my Porte get those messages. They just didn't go and I did. Before the patch the porter had to have the tooth there was no self Evacs. That is why I coined it Ghetto Succor The people with the tooth in cursor succored and you went to the proper place.
